Kings vs Blazers (Pre-season Game 2)

Isaiah showing why he is better suited off the bench. Looks for his shot way more than Brooks, in the starting unit it freezes out Evans and Cousins, in the second unit it opens up chances for lesser offensive players.

As long as he's giving others good shots I don't mind if he's starting or off the bench.

James Johnson = Doug Chrisite in Lebron's body frame. Just needs to improve that outside shot like Chrisite did. So versatile, how did we get him for a second round pick? lol

Plug JJ in for Outlaw either Wed or Fri and I'm feeling very good going into the season. Although Smart might prefer JJ off the bench as he can play the 4. Outlaw can as well but is not the defender JJ is.

small sample size but JJ simply looks like he fits what we need, minus outside shooting
That's why we start brooks IMO and bring Thornton and IT off the bench for quick switches if we are lacking in that department during a game. We could easily switch out Evans for Thornton if needed then we would be a good 3pt team, although we would lack a bit defensively. I actually think Jones will do fine. I can see him shooting 2-4 a game and hitting 1 shot per game on average. Looking for about 35% from him

What a half. JJ looks like a great acquisition. Brooks was killing it. Boogie was killing it. And more than that, they're playing like a team. Sure, it's preseason, and sure the Blazers are terrible, but it just looks like this team done growed up over the summer. And that's a great sign.

Did the Kings just hold the Blazers to 42 points in the Half? H%$# yes they did:)

I love Tyreke at the 2 and the rest of the starting lineup. I would start JJ over Outlaw but this is Portland and Smart is letting Outlaw represent.

Gotta give them all an A+.

Well considering alot of people have us as the worst team in the West, a 20 pt and complete domination of any Western Conference team is sending a message to the leauge. It's early but our depth looks scary this year.

Despite Tyreke missing some shots, im glad hes making an effort to take the outside shot, his misses rolled out, and his pullup in transition was very nice, with our depth and firepower theres no rush or need for Tyreke to be a 20 ppg player

JJ is the best SF on the team, but I do sort of like him as the first guy off the bench. It really depends on how consistent Cisco or Outlaw can be. Salmons plays as well as he can, but his game relied so heavily on speed that he no longer has.

remember in the offseason when everyone was dissing petrie when he acquired brooks and JJ? people jump to conclusion and people just disappointed that we didnt get any "big names".

starters for the kings since 2006 that would not start on this team right now. Kevin Martin, Spencer Hawes, Brad Miller, Andres Noccioni, Garcia, obviously Kenny Thomas john Salmons.

finally something out of Lillard. I am not a huge beleiver, think he's likely another tweener. But an explosive tweener with those threes.
