Either Monty doesn't think Davis can guard Cuz or Davis doesn't think he can guard Cuz.

BTW, you can see why the plan for NO is to move Gordon and start Reke. He and Davis are building some very good chemistry and it's been ongoing for a little while now.

A backcourt of Holiday and Evans is enviable.

Oh god, halftime segment on Tyreke Evans. I'm going to lose it here in a minute.

Team looks much better when our 2nd highest paid player in contributing, when the bench unit is on go to Williams in the paint he's so big and athletic @SF that he can beast just about anyone in the paint. Cousins effortless 16 and 10 (can't believe how efforlessly he could do it without being spoon feed).

Considering some terrible TO's and IT and Gay not playing all that well good half imo. Cousins would have had 20+ if the pick n roll /post entry passes were better.

Seeing Evans and Davis work a two-man game is subject to raise my blood pressure.
A common defense of not matching on Reke was that he couldn't coexist with Cuz. I said as long as Reke was here that couldn't be further from the truth and some of our most obvious bright spots in seasons full of losing were the Reke/Cuz two man game which Smart never utilized but when we saw it, it had some serious potential.

Reke's chemistry with Davis continues to improve and is more evidence that Reke can pair well with a dominant big. It surely isn't evidence that Reke in fact cannot pair with a dominant big, which is what has often come out of the peanut gallery.

You know, Eric Gordon is a guy I've never really been a fan of but he's super available. In the same mold as Rudy Gay in a way, which leads me to believe the Kings MIGHT express interest at some point. Buy low scenario and all that.

AD vs DCuz at the Half update:

Anthony Davis - 9 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 0 stl, 0 blk

DeMarcus Cousins - 16 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk

Davis has put up some pretty numbers this season, he deserves all of the hype he's been getting so far. But tonight Cuz is making a statement "not in my house". If we can continue to limit Davis' impact in the second half, we should have a very good chance of winning this game.

Reke was amazing for us, but the bad combination of coaching, ownership and his lack of personal desire to improve made it turn into a situation.

That being said , Reke still hasn't developed an outside shot and until he doesn't I will continue to say it was a wise move to let him go. Any decent defensive team (not us) could shut him down by taking a couple of steps backwards when eh has the ball.

If we figured out a way to just swap MT for him and one of the Pelicans backup backup PGs (Rivers?), I certainly wouldn't mind

Cousins is just a plain beast. But bad decision not to pass out of that. Of course nobody ran to his backside for him to pass it to

Ben "Defensive Principles" McLemore. I like it. What do y'all think?

Ben on getting dunked on by Lebron:
“Just knowing LeBron, I knew they weren’t going to call that call (a charge on James),” McLemore said. “I was just playing my defensive principles. Going in, being the low man and taking the charge.”

Ben sure is getting a rookie initiation out there. Everyone has to figure out the way NBA refs call games and right now everyone is going right at him and forcing him to make decisions defensively.

Was Cousins rubbing his knee and hobbling for a bit before that charge?
