[Game] Kings v. Knicks, 3/26/14 - 7 pm PDT

Well, it's tough to win when the other team shoots lights out, but:
Cousins carried this team. Needed to go to him more, as the offense looked better with him as initiator.
Ben McLemore also looked decent. Had a great steal late.
McCallum. Rough start, but helped elsewhere. Finally started to settle in late. Had he hit that last three, it likely wouldn't have affected the outcome, but still would have been nice. Could have been a worse start.
Gay, well, rough finish.

I wonder if I should dig up the most recent thread where the Pizza Guys are all asking why Gay is, according to them, immune to criticism, and link it to this one?

I wouldn't pay him 14-16 mil a year either

Wow I didn't think anyone would be willing to pay him in that range. I was under the assumption he would get 12-14 mil a year on his next paycheck which is a fair offer for a player who is a 2nd option with average defense.

If it comes down to it, I'm fine with Ray as a stopgap PG next season while we wait for the cap room to sign a vet. Maybe he'll even surprise us and prove he belongs in the starting lineup. I just like the way the team plays when he's in there. He was all kinds of shaky with his shot in the first half -- maybe knowing there was no backup for him out there tonight rattled his nerves a bit -- but once he settled in, he was a solid contributor across the board. Certainly he's not even close to IT as a scorer, but he's steady and he spreads the ball around and he helped out on the glass and he played fundamental defense. Not elite in any area (unless you count hops) but he's a jack of all trades guy and I like how his teammates play off him, particularly the young guys.

Fun game to attend, wish we could have won so we could shut most of those annoying Knicks fans up. Also didn't hurt a couple cute girls sat a couple rows in front of me (too bad they had boyfriends :p).
