So, once more unto the breach, dear friends...

As another season rolls to a close, it looks like tonight will be a sellout. Fitting and yet another message to the NBA that WE ARE SACRAMENTO! For those of you lucky enough to be attending tonight's game, please cheer for all of us who are unable to be there in person.

kennadog has mentioned in another thread that tonight is Help Operation Care and Comfort night. You can bring items to be included in military care packages to be shipped to our men and women in uniform overseas. It's a great way to show support for our armed forces. Check it out.

We've got a roll call thread going so be sure and check it out and sign in. It's amazing to me to see how many global fans we have who still check in and follow the Kings. Just my personal opinion, but with Vivek at the helm I can't help but believe the Kings WILL be a global treasure once more.

Now about the game...what can we say? At this point I hope we see a lot of Cole Aldrich, Pat Patterson and Toney Douglas. I like all three of them but I especially like what Cole brings to the mix. He's a work horse, and seems to be a bit of a cross between Scot Pollard and Greg Ostertag.

For the last time THIS SEASON - Once, now and FOREVER - GO KINGS!!!
 
Anthem alert: Everyone attending the game is asked to stand and sing along when the National Anthem is sung. It should be awesome!

Set your DVRs, fellow Kings fans. I get the feeling this is gonna be one game you'll want to watch over and over. And I hope the cameras can catch at least a bit of the electricity and excitement in the air.

It won't happen but what I wouldn't give to hear a halftime announcement saying Kings will stay in Sac! Can't wait for tonight's game. I like Douglas as he seems to be a bit of Bobby and Doug. GO KINGS!!!!!

we may not know the future location of this team, but we do know two things for certain tonight:

1: this is the last game the Kings will play under the Maloof Ownership
2: this is the last game of Keith Smart.


and those are two pretty good things
 
I will be watching this hoping this is not that last time we call our kings our own. I believe KJ, and his ownership group will do what it takes to keep our team. So even if this is the last game of the season and no playoffs BEAT LA (well the clippers) anyone know who will get the nod at the 2? my guess Thornton

Good that Reke is sitting out. Probably would get iced the whole 2nd and 4th anyway. I'm just happy this is finally our last game with this coach and moving on to newer and better things. I'm confident the team will stay here. GO KINGS!!

I suspect a lot of folks went to the tailgate, if not the game itself. And there are people who follow the game thread but don't post much anymore because of what a joke it has turned into at times.
