[Game] Kings v. Bucks - 3/10/13

It was a foul, but Evans should have hit Jimmer, Thornton, or took the 3 himself in the previous possession.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Had he passed up the 3 to a different shooter, it would have been because he didn't have the heart. If he took it, it would have been a "ball-hog" moment when other 3 point shooters were on the team.

Either way, a three should have been taken, but it didn't look like it was easy to get off, unless I missed something.

Refs ****ed us in so many different ways tonight. was one of the worst ive seen.

how the hell did they not call a foul when tyreke had the spin move and then had body contact on his layup. should have been a And1 that would have tied the game

Smart screwed us more. It probably doesn't come down to the Jimmer foul if he doesn't give up a 17 pt swing in the 2nd with a sh** lineup, or with another poor lineup for a chunck of the 3rd and 4th quarters.

We lost this game earlier on. Just happened to fight our way back and have a small chance at the end.

Nice bullsh*t foul call then bullsh*t non foul call. What a joke. On a side note, Jimmer may have some things to work on, but every now and then he is lightening in a bottle.

You mean when he's paired with Evans?
I wonder how often that's happened. Seriously, I'm sure the stat boys on this board could figure it out, because I'm genuinely curious, but too lazy to do the work.

It wouldn't work. Reke has no heart.

describes ALOT of games this season

Jimmer should work well with either Douglas or Reke. Both guards who can handle the rock for him, he can play off them and they look to set him and others up. They're also our two best defensive guards which also helps when thinking of who to pair Jimmer with.

that was one of the most hilarious post game pressors of the year. Smart rambling about how he was planning to take Cousins out but didnt get Patterson in in time. WTF? lol the Kings broadcast even cut off his pressor because he was making a fool of himself. epic

I just got back from my Grandparents house and didn't get to watch the game. How many terrible defensive plays did Jimmer make down the stretch of the game? How many times was he scored on?

He had a time out! Doesn't he know you can sub during a time out?

Jimmer played a really good game, was put into the game in the second and scored five, didn't get back in til like maybe 5 or 6 minutes left and down by 14. He scored like 10 or 12 points and him and Reke almost won the game. Bad no call stopped the game from going to overtime.

He really might not know that. He almost never subs during time outs and then will sub on the next dead ball.

I think you are right. People have commented over and over about not subbing during a time out. I don't think he ever does. At least it will give me a reason to watch the games. :)

Glad I am not the only one who has noticed and mocked this incessantly. It is truly bizarre.

Truly Bizarre might be the best way to describe it. I mean it will sometimes only be like 15 seconds after a time out that he make a random sub. It isn't like he will be subbing offense for defense or because of foul trouble. It is just random.

Sometimes coaches don't know things that they really should. Jerry Tarkanian didn't know how to call a 20 second time out when he was with the Spurs.

At least Tark was a college coach out of his element. Smart has been an NBA assistant/head coach for a decade.

I just cannot understand our substitutions, especially when it comes to Tyreke.

I swear I find myself windering if coach Dumb has the instruction from front office to tamper his impact because he is a FA and we don't want to be forced to pay him too much.

The kid was balling and dominating in the first along with Cousins and he gets benched not to be seem for a fair while. Lucky for Reke, other teams are not stupid and realise he is an underutilized talent and will try to get him and turn him into a star. Bookmark it!

A few random observations:

1. Our guy's name is Aldrich. Aldridge is on the Trailblazers.

2a. Tyreke Evans is not the villain.
2b. Isaiah Thomas is not the villain.
If the true villain didn't play some kind of mental eeney-meeney-miney-moe to determine his rotations, we wouldn't have about 80% of the arguments we have over Evans and Thomas. Smart - and I use the term loosely - effectively iced Evans when he was having a very, very, very good consistent game and didn't put him back in until the damage was done.

3. John Salmons looked like a fish out of water. You know what you're going to get with Salmons within a few minutes. But, once again the EEMM decreed that he stay on the floor, helping about as much as a one-legged man in an arse kicking contest.

4. DMC was set up, both by Dunleavy (whose motives I've always questioned as he's banked for years on his angelic face) and by Smart, who could have kept Demarcus out for a couple of minutes to let him calm down.

5. There is no longer any way to defend Keith Smart. He's now officially earned the title of most inept coach in the history of our franchise, and considering some of the bozos of the past, that's saying something.

6. Watching this game was painful, primarily because the team pretty much did everything they could IN SPITE OF HORRIFIC COACHING DECISIONS to get back into it and win. I can only imagine what it would be like to see them play with even just a mediocre coach on the sidelines. I'm not asking for Adelman or Sloan or Jackson. I'd settle for Nate or Stiles or even Byron Thomas.

I agree with this especially Cousins being set up and Keith Smart sabotaging this team. Dunleavy has gotten into with other players before and it may have been an accident, but going at a dude's knees is gonna rile them up. Smart should of known that Cuz was going to be a time bomb waiting to go off after that, but instead of taking him out and letting him cool down, he keeps him in there when he's confrontation mode. Then the whole sub you out when you're hot, but keeps ice cold players in is beyond stupid.

Man, I didn't get to see this one but judging by some of these posts... I'm glad I missed it. I'm not sure if I can take much more ineptitude from Smart.

Just when you think you have seen the highest degree of ineptitude, something else happens. Today there were two major problems: 1) taking Reke out in the first quarter when he was on fire at the eight minute mark as usual and 2) leaving Cousins in the game when Cousins was "I want to smash a little bug" mode. Apparently his excuse for the latter was that he didn't have time during the timeout to put Patterson into the game for Cousins. C'mon!!! The more typical small problems like using three different point guards in one half and I think he used 11 players in the 2nd quarter were more of the typical stuff we are getting used to..

I would like to say that I am old enough and mature enough to just laugh instead of crying but this is absurd especially given the background that the Maloofs are trying to screw us in the ultimate way by taking our team away.
