Kings training camp 2025 open thread

It's nice that the coach wants to play "defense first," with "94-feet" guarding. Apart from Dennis Schröder, the only noticeable improvement on that side of the ball is the addition of Nique Clifford.

Two things have to happen: 1) A lot of subs, because playing a full-court press requires huge expenditure of energy; perhaps even a 12-man rotation. 2) A more team-oriented defensive approach. Mr. Christy talks about keeping your man in front, which is great if the players could learn to do it in two weeks, which is improbable. More likely is a better overall approach, which will be the province of Bobby Jackson. Also better communication.

Stay tuned.

This is the finally the season I have no excitement to watch my team play. Perry has no vision. He has failed on my view this offseason. He is setting us for a run at the play in this year. I just cannot with this team

Peep the schedule we’ll be trading Sabonis by the deadline and compete for a top 5 pick there’s hope

The fact that Keegan isn’t in the starting 5 picture infuriates me beyond belief. He is literally the only one along with Sabonis that belongs.
That was odd, to say the least. Whoever heard of "the starting 4"? Maybe Keegan was off being interviewed at the time.

Here is the actual quote from Doug Christie. He said specifically that he was looking at a 10-man rotation.

Domas has like an entire second skull surrounding a normal 6'10" man's cranium. No wonder he gets hit in the head so often.

(Maybe he was the kid from So I Married An Axe Murderer, I dunno...)
Head! Pants! Now!

It's like an orange on a toothpick. It's like sputnik, quite spherical yett kinda pointy in places. That's a huge noggin. It's like a planetoid. It has its own weather system.

Malik Monk's interview was my absolute favorite. The media tried to get him to say something they could take back to their articles for a headline, or one of their many podcasts and he didn't evade anything. Monk simply answered everyone straight up and let them know that our new GM is a straight shooter so he had nothing to worry about in terms of potentially being blindsided. They tried to ask the same questions 3 different ways and were left disappointed LOL and I'm still not convinced he was ever on the trading block the way folks assumed.
