Kings-Timberwolves PBP thread for Jan. 30

Welcome, fellow Kings fans!!!

Boy I hate early games, especially early games in the winter. The sun is shining brightly up here, but it is C-O-L-D! I've already had a pot of regular (non-Gevalia) coffee. The important stuff is brewing right now. I may not sleep for several days, but at least I'll be warm and awake for the game!!!

I have on my lucky socks, purple slippers, long-sleeve Kings "trekkie" shirt AND my Bibby jersey. (Like I said, it's cold.) I have my Kings blankey on my lap and all my lucky totems are in their proper position and have not been moved since Friday night. (You don't want to mess with the good karma from a winning game.)

This should be a good game. I think the whole team is motivated to go into Target and tame the Wolves.

In the early game, it looks as though the Heat have the situation well in hand which bodes well for a timely start to OUR game. Of course, as I say that O'Neal gets called for his 5th foul and is now on the bench, giving the Rockets a chance to come back.

I honestly don't care who wins as long as it DOESN'T go to overtime.

I was trying to figure out why the game is on at this time. Channel 10 isn't national so why the early start time?

I can only guess - but Telemundo is carrying the game and they are national. In addition, ESPN is carrying a later game.

I confess to being a tad selfish. As long as I can see it, I'm happy - even if it is earlier than I'd like.

Cat tried really hard to play. It was obvious he was in a lot of pain.

About Cat: He isn't off the floor because of his groin. He has a terribly upset stomach, and Koz says he hopes Grant and Jerry didn't order the same thing Cat ordered on the flight down to Minnesota. They expect he could come back and play. It's stomach, not groin.
