[Game] Kings @ Timberwolves - 11/2/12 - 5pm PDT

theres nothing this lineup can do to salvage the game when Smart leaves Garcia and Jimmer (people who shouldn't even be on the floor unless the game is over) on the floor untill the 5 minute mark of the 4th

At what point does our beat writer start questioning some of this? Or is he just too damn lazy to care. All the things we see, magically, never appear in the Bee.Just a bunch of fluff.

Wow, it took even less time than I had anticipated to reach the "sickeningly deflated and disappointed level" that we reach every year. Only two games, blah-blah-blah. How can people who are being paid professionally be this bad? Note that I'm not talking about the players. So much talent, so much stupid.

is it possible that we have found a coach worse than musselman or Theus? i think even one of them could have figured out who needs to be on the court with this roster

I know some were positive about Smart coming into this season and wanted to give him another chance, but personally I'm glad I looked at his history and stuck to my beliefs, as I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, I expected this. I also expect the players not go along if it continues. IT and Reke aren't stupid. They know we aren't better with them on the bench and Jimmer/Cisco eating their minutes.

Way too many minutes for the scrubs. This is a chronic problem that won't be fixed unless the coach goes.

I thought you played your starters until you have a lead and then you put your bench in............These kids need their roles defined pronto or we are gonna have a real long lame season...i had to turn off the end of the game...we should have been ahead instead of behind all night......

He is. But as the #1 option on the team you have to let him play through it and figure it out.

And going even higher into the chain of the why's and how's, you can't have an offensive setup and rotations that don't operate under the basis of making the game easier for your best players. Setting screens up high for Thomas won't help Evans or Cousins become more dominant or have better games, not entirely at least.

eventually "talent" has got to become production, take charge.

a lot of very talented individuals go by the way side because they blame someone else for all their failings. And thats in all walks of life.

you wanna be an big star, step up.

I think those expecting the Kings to get an automatic win against an injury laden MIN team..may have have forgotten what a sh*tty team this still is. What a joke.
Edit: "sh*tty franchise this still is".

time to start the movement in Sacramento before its to late. NEW COACH NOW!!!! people need to bring the signs to the home opener

I indeed was hopeful. I thought we HAD to improve given an offseason + preseason to work on stuff. Tyreke + Cousins with any 3 other players should be more successful than this.

Smart is worse than Westy, although Westy was terrible too. For all Westy's issues with Cuz, we ran a much better half court offense and players knew their roles. We were better defensively too. Maybe it was a more boring style, but Westy was just as competitive as Smart with a far less talented roster.

What really gets me is our lack of half court offense. We have such good offensive players but the coaching staff has refused time after time to put together a proper plan that sets guys up to score. I know defense is important, and it's nice to hear that they are emphasizing defense. Why didn't we spend last season developing some proper sets? We are so dependent on getting out in transition off of turnovers that when you have a game like this where the Wolves only turn the ball over 11 times we end up with 80 points. This is especially important when we bring in our second unit.

Can't step up when you're on the bench

but coach would rather have Jimmer and Hayes out there

If Smart knew what he was doing the new starting lineup of this team would be Evans/Thornton/JJ/Hayes/Cousins. Within that lineup as of right now you have 3-4 legit set plays you can run. Thornton and Hayes have the best two man game on the team so you can use Hayes up top with Thornton/Reke cutting off the ball in a pinch if the defense is cutting off lanes for Tyreke or positioning for Cousins.
