[Game] Kings @ Timberwolves - 11/2/12 - 5pm PDT

It's all off. The whole concept of our offense. Not helping Cuz or Reke. We're making them role players and having them play off our other what should be roles players.

Reke attacking and kicking to Cuz wasn't there because a) he rarely got the ball in a place to attack off his dribble and b) the few times he did there was pee poor spacing and we didn't have shooters spreading the floor. The offense just wasn't set up to even provide that opportunity.

Yep.

what were demarcus numbers last year what were tyrekes numbers in his first year how can players get worse bad coaching is how

What talent? Are there any Allstars on this roster? Are there any players that ANY other team would trade a first round pick for? This is a roster of bargain basement free agents and bad draft picks. To think otherwise is to ignore the evidence displayed on a nightly basis on the court.

As was said above, coaching teaches talent how to win together. Coaching doesnt create talent out of no talent players.

Oh please. OKC was trying to trade us Harden for Cousins a week ago. Anybody who starts trashing our talent in favor of our latest .300 win percentage coach needs to seriosuly ask themselves who they have aligned themsevles with, and why.

how good would thompson be if his role was defined his whole career? the coaching changes are the Maloofs genius ways of making it suck for the fans....once they know team stays in sac lets sign Smart to an extended contract quick and waste this talent that we have drafted

How can we get better? I don't see Smart having some sort of revelation and putting the best players on the court all of a sudden. I fear we may be just plain stuck. Stuck with the coach for two years, stuck with the the lineups, and stuck losing.

Million dollar question. If Smart doesn't wise up and start using our talent correctly, we won't, and worse, might lose key players in the process.

Whatever my theory or your theory is on how to use our players doesn't really matter as Smart clearly has a different set of ideals. I think from past posts we pretty much agree on how to use players, or at least the basis of it, and many here share some of those same thoughts, but none of it will happen with this staffs philosophy. I just hope it doesn't start causing locker room issues and blowing up the team. It's the coach, not our talent. Our roster doesn't fit great, but we can be much better than we're showing. And it's the clear management of that talent which is so off. i wouldn't even mind that much being 0-2 if we were playing to our strengths and things made sense.

What exactly are we building?

Jimmer was the ONLY player to play even. EVERY other player was at least a -1 while in the game. Well, one player was a -1 while in the game...the rest were way WORSE.

Come on people, try to understand.

You're intentionally trolling and trying to invoke reactions after a loss.

How about you # off?

Frustration?:p

lets not let this season get away from us, we have too much talent. bring out the brown bags and the fire Keith Smart signs at the very first home game

Cuz is a top 5 center if used correctly if not top 3.

Reke as his wingman could be 18/6/5 easily of used correctly.

IT setting the offense and playing off those two could get a solid 12/5 per game.

JJ is the best defensive SF we've had in years.

MT has 6th man of the year talent if we actually use him correctly, run him off screens/staggered picks, and made him the focus of our bench instead of Outlaw/Brooks/Jimmer.

We have talent. Doesn't fit great, but we have talent.

so let me understand this we have a coach that has spent his professional life around the nba and he cant see who has the most talent on his team....and he has had extensive time to work with them.... that is total crap

playing time
Isaiah Thomas: 25:45
Tyreke Evans: 29:35
DeMarcus Cousins:25:19

yep, thats how winning teams use their starters

I hope it doesn't cause locker room issues too! I think the way we are going now, we are building a team that will never be successful in the playoffs. The way we use our players and roster, we may win a few more games but it isn't going to be in a way we can repeat on any given night. Too much relying on the hot player, instead of your stars. Unfortunately for us Cousins and Tyreke can take over and win us just enough games where there is no reason to look at a real Coach. And then we just get stuck being mediocre like many NBA teams do... until new ownership comes along and blows it up.

wow right now it looks like Petrie should have pulled the trigger

No.

And yes I am aware fo the ridiuclous numbers Harden has put up in his first two games.

And no I don't think he's better than Jordan so I am waiting for them to settle into somthing more reasonable.

lol i know that would be bad. but lets face it. we need a James Harden type player. and if 2 years from now Cousins is still pouting and getting in foul trouble every game. it will have looked like a great trade

Curious, say we pull off the Cousins for Harden trade. What do you think the chances are the Maloof's give him 80million for 5 years?

Cousins was in foul trouble, remember? He got a foul within 10 seconds of starting the game, and then built fouling momentum after that.

What are the chances that our current coach could set up a reasonable rotation even with Harden?

At least Lakers will be ahead of Kings in the battle for #1 pick after tonight. Howard and Metta are already with 2 fouls. Guess Kobe feels it's 2005 again.

Didn't they trade their #1 to Orlando? I wonder if it is lottery protected?:D
