Btw I saw Reke shoot one jumpshot this game and he missed it, almost all his points are coming from layups and freethrows

Kings basketball, Where being the next Chris Kaman and not being able to compete in the NBA happens in a matter of days.

Hawes just doesn't work as well in an up and down game. I recall him struggling in Suns and Warrior games as well. He runs the court fine at times, but he's not the quick reacting type that benefits in those open court game situations.

Wow. I predicted this would happen earlier this morning. Everyone was extremely high on Spencer after the last 2 games. I said he was young, and would have more ups and downs. All young players are inconsistent. And I said after he has a bad game, everyone will be calling for his head. Didn't take long did it? Now we have people implying Spencer can't make it in this league as a backup.

Seriously people, get a ******* grip. We're young. All young guys are inconsistent, unless you are lucky enough to get a guy like Tyreke. But this crap about praising a player one night and wanting to run him out of town the next is getting to be absolutely rediculous. Spencer had 2 good games. Didn't play as well tonight, although tonight was a lot better than some of the other performances we've seen from him.

Did you really think after those 2 games that would be the end of his inconsistency? That he was all the sudden a different player? That players change over night? It will take time, a lot more time than some here are willing to wait. Too bad for you. It's rebuilding. It's youth. You don't see growth over night. You see it over years. Funny how some can't understand that concept.

How dare you spoil my Voison-esque fantasy of Spencer being Kevin McHale;)

I hate Voison! I just want to give Spencer time to develop. Personally, I think when he's 23(Jt's age), we will be looking at a different player. Much more consistent. He needs time. He needs to put on weight. But I see flashes, and in time, I think those flashes will happen much more frequently. I see effort, but it sometimes is misplaced. That also will improve over time.

I never judge a young player from game to game, or week to week. Can't get to high or to low with young players, because thats the nature of the beast. Always has been that way, through all sports, unless a phenom comes out.

I'm of the same train of thought. Every player has a bad game. With younger players, it just happens more frequently (unless you're Tyreke Evans, in which case, you're just a stud)

It was a good effort from our guys, Thunder is just a longer team. They should be our role models in a way, not a veteran on that team but they will for sure scare a team in the first round.

This is the first game where I noticed how valuable JT can be, I admit I take him for granted with all his annoyances on the offensive end. But if he had Landrys poise and calmness down low he'd be an all star:(

I don't see why alot of this is landing on Spencer though, what I saw out there was a really solid effort out of him. He seems to atleast have confidence in himself, he will never be a dominant 10 board a game rebounder....but if he can give Reke a reliable dump off target for a couple cheap assists a game I'll be happy. Nobody would rip Spencer if we could put a stand out defensive 4 next to him.

Overall it was a entertaining game with a rising team who is more dangerous than the analysts think and our guys were there till the end on the road that's all you ask for these days.
