Keegan is beginning to change into a better player. I like his aggressiveness in offense and defense. Him boxing out when the ball is in the air is something Kings probably preach to the entire team and he's now getting it. This just going to turn him into a complete player as his career progress. This Thunder team is relentless, they have shooting talents and they stay close but Kings is playing on a different level right now....especially defensively.

Anyone on the fence about Huerter starting the game? I feel like his defense is Buddy Hield all over again. I mean he's a bit better but not by much. Also, his turnover is really bad also.

It's part of Mike Brown building a winning culture in Sacramento.

By including Gary Gerould in the celebration it's just another "us against them" brick to add to the wall.
Not just that but he's showing he gets the club and its history. At different times we've tried to prove this to fans from hiring Theus to coach or Vlade to make up for the two rodents after Petrie. We've got an outsider, but he gets it. Which I assume despite going in hard to bring in the best assistant coaching staff in the league he also found a home for Doug.

Picking up another game on the Mavs and Suns is just *chefs kiss*. So many podcasts and pundits just assumed they'd immediately leap over us in the standings. Roster fit is so much more important than just acquiring big names for the sake of doing so, and you can see that with the subtraction of Westbrook down in LA.

Love Gman but they are probably going to honor him a hundred ways did he really need defensive player of the game? Haha
It’s not even about the chain. It’s what the action represents. The players typically aren’t involved in honoring other members of the organization, so this was something they could give him to remember. A classy way of showing your appreciation.

Starting to very easily see how he develops into the 3rd scoring stud. Watching him incorporate ore scoring moves along with the shooting... just brilliant
I'd like to see Huerter take a backseat and fall into the 5th option, not because he's slumping (though he is), but he really needs to be in that role if we're to take the next step and Keegan step into at least the 3rd option.

Best defender in the starting lineup too. The 6'8" 4/3 flex who you can guard 2 positions comfortably, and 2 more adequately is worth its weight in gold.

This also craps on the notion that his ceiling is low. Can't be all that low when you have the IQ and work ethic this kid has, im sorry.

I think he might be hurt. Or gassed. He's compensating with his shooting, he was rubbing his elbow today. And he also might have tired legs. As long as his minutes are managed and he gets switched when he's not playing great it doesn't bother me.

Huerter wasn’t good tonight. I trust our coach, He will do what’s best for the team to compete and win. Kevin has contributed to a lot of our success this year and I don’t doubt he will continue to contribute moving forward.

Yup. Bingo. It's a culture thing. Every Kings fan loves G-man and he's an institution for this organization. Fun way to bring light to his accomplishment and dedication to the Kings

Huerter's last handful of games has been puzzling, because you can usually count on him to play smart basketball, even when he's not playing good basketball. The mental mistakes tonight were concerning.

He had a bad game, but the team won. Watch him pick it up tomorrow....bet he has a better game. His defense is not too good but he's been pretty consistent offensively.
