Kings talk on TNT 1/10/13

HereWeBoogie

Hall of Famer
in case some of you didnt watch it. here's cliffnotes of what was said on Inside the NBA about our team tonight

Comments by Charles Barkley:

-Isaiah was fouled on the game tying 3

-DeMarcus' flagrant was a flagrant-1, NOT a flagrant-2

-Kings organization is crap and isn't helping Cousins, and ruined Tyreke Evans development (he thought Tyreke would be a perrineal all star)

-Maloofs are scewing the people of Sacramento

-Sacramento fans are amazing

-David Stern should step in and make the Maloofs sell.

Comments by Kenny Smith:

-Cousins foul tonight WAS NOT a "punk" move.

-Sacramento fans are amazing

-Sacramento has been supporting bad players and bad teams, they would go crazy with support if they had a decent team again

Shaq comments:

-Sad for Sacramento, a great city to play in

-Sad for Kevin Johnson

Dang I wish I could catch the actual footage of this ... They used to upload full clips of inside the NBA on NBA.com but I don't think they do it anymore. :(

This kind of stuff helps our cause. The more national sympathy for us, the fans, the better. A national grass-roots movement? Talk about pressure.

ya pretty much everything they said was very good for Sacramento in a time like this. except Shaq seemed to talk like he thought Seattle was a done deal. i think he said "and now there going to Seattle and its too bad"

and although they somewhat defended DeMarcus' flagrant, they clearly haven't been following his recent play since the suspension. because they talked about how needs to grow up and he keeps getting in trouble but nothing ever comes from it......

Good to hear. Might get a few more national fans/viewers/writers to take a look at what's going on in Sacramento. The more positive national press for us, the better

They were spot on with that comment. He goes through stretches where he's great but then it seems like every couple of weeks he does something like this. He's going to have to put together more than just 6 games without an incident. He needs to go months without an incident for people to start believing he's turned the corner. What he did last night is the reason he has the reputation that he has. He doesn't know how to control his emotions.

Charles makes some excellent points, well known points, but on the money for me.

at the end of the day, cuz is the one who will decide if he's gonna be great, good, or something in between.

Blaming anyone and anything for his troubles is ridiculous, If i level someone in the street and blame on it my workplace do you think i'd get off a suspended sentence, would i hell. But thats the road were going down.

some of that "old cuz" came out for a split second last night when he went to lash out on Carter but thankfully he realised, "woah, I'm not supposed to be doing this kinda crap anymore" and he didn't follow through and caught Vince on the way down.

I have always supported Chuck's opinion on our arena situation, and the rest of the guys' on Inside the NBA for that matter. Blaming the Kings for Tyrekes immaterialization, which many on this board like to do as well, in my opinion does nothing to appropriately put the blame on him (lack of heart/being given green light in rookie season in my opinion).. Cousins at this point is just stupid, maybe a more regimented environment would help but again that absolves him of the original blame

Lack of heart? Being given the green light is his fault? What?

Kingsfan23 has never shown much love towards either Reke or Cousins. In fact, I believe he's stated before that he doesn't particularly like either one of them.
