Kings @ Spurs Game Thread

I hate complaining about calls, but tonight was ridiculous! I understand some missed calls, but I started to wonder if the Refs were just not coming down for offense with the Kings.

Some REALLY bad officiating tonight.

What is clear from this game is that Spurs cannot win without refs help.

Ditto. For the season I'd say Kings one, Spurs one, Refs two. Kings put up a fight but to no avail tonight.

Pedja would have made difference

Webber (healthy) would have made a difference

Bobby - (boy do we miss him) would have made difference

Mo Evans would have made a difference tonight as well. This game was closer than the score shows, because we were really in it right until the end. Just having Webb at 100% or one of the other 3 guys here could have easily made the difference. Oh well, we played a good game & I'm proud of the effort. I think we easily could have won this, but San Antonio is a good team & I'd rather not see them in the 1st round of the playoffs.

I know no loss is a good loss.BUT
I am very proud of the team's effort and grit tonight. Go Kings!

without some of our key guys (peja, bobby, mo) they hung in there.. too many stuff just went wrong in the end.. all in all, i'm not so bummed about the loss.. there's always tomorrow.. :)

Spurs are the better team...hands down...irregardless of the Peja no-show.

Just look at execution down the stretch when we could have stayed in the game.

You also got a chance to see for yourself late in the game that Mobley can't shine a candle to Doug on defense.

On Evans and Martin, I wouldn't be too critical...if you OBSERVED closely, the offense NEVER gets them involved...NEVER...Bibby is too busy running the 2-man game with Webber...no change up...no variation...the same thing over and over again.

If RA wants to develop these young players, I learned tonight that it takes even MORE than having them on the floor at critical junctures of the game. he needs to make sure that they are INVOLVED with the offense.

On the flip side, Kevin did a nice job on defense tonight, and that IMHO is the reason he played so many minutes.

Spurs are better than us...live with it...and move on...it no longer matters until a possible playoff matchup. And then both teams will be different in ways we cannot yet imagine. Hopefully, the KINGS will be differently BETTER.
I do not agree , our guys were tired as hell because lack of rest, this was caused by the Bobby Jackson and Mo Evans not being able to play, our starters gutted it out , Webber was hurt and he played , and the biggest was no Pejda ... did you see our O without him ... we were dead as hell !

I am not sure you can make statements about who is ultimately better after this particular game. THough, I think you can make those claims based on Sunday's sampling.

When Web is out, Peja shines. Web didn't exactly shine tonight.

That's my one and only shot...

Webber was struggling with his ankle tonight. He's had many games where he shines this season, and I'm sure we'll see many more.

I think that it is more coache's decision.

When Webber is out Mike looks like brilliant general out there. When Webber plays Mike goes to 2 man game 75% of the time. Makes no sense unless that is the way the coach wants it.

Here's a line everyone can sink their teeth into:

TFM: 2/5/0 in 22 minutes. 0-3 shooting.

PPFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

I don't think anyone is being hard on Evans, since he didn't play the expectations were very low.;) I don't know if the Spurs are better than us or not. Yes, they played better tonight, but we are missing Peja, Mo Evans, Bobby Jackson, and Webber was clearly hobbling on that ankle. Regardless, as you said, we won't see them until the playoffs (and hopefully late in the playoffs!), so hopefully we will all be healthy and ready to play when we meet again.

wow... alexander is back.... can we trade him, house, bradley and barnes for someone useful? eventhough barnes played really well tonight..... if we only had evans, he can hit a wide open 3 and attack the basket, and catch crazy *** alley-oops.... and so on.....

Obviously, the coach either wants it or he is not intervening.

Mike is NOT brilliant, because even with Webber out of the game, he does not get everyone involved. Barnes and Martin ONLY got shots tonight when they decided to play 1-on-1 ball...one exception was the wide open 3 Kevin got. That was about it.

Your 75% figure needs to get bumped up to around 95%.

espn.com says that its daniels.... but why is he on the roster?

Daniels was originally on the injured reserve list. When Mo Evans got hurt, they put Mo on the injured reserve list and activated Daniels. Daniels will be back to the IR list when Mo Evans is cleared to play, hopefully in about 4 games.

Interesting to see Courtney on the stat line. I could have swaorn the Kings cut him. Well this could be interesitng down the road.

Did anyone SEE Alexander on the court? If he were on the roster, Daniels would have had to go on the injured list. Sure it wasn't Daniels in during that last few seconds?

You know what, we were in it without Peja, Bobby, and Evans and Webb looked about 50%(or he played horrible however you want to look at it). Spurs are awesome but I'm less worried than after sunday. The game was in San Antonio and we did hang in there... Series is 11-9 Spurs in the last 20 games.

I don't think he was out there. I watched the last bit a few times. I could identify everyone on the floor, but no Alexander.

Whos TFM? Nevermind you mean the Traitor...

acording to the Kings home page Alexander is still on the roster but listed as IR. Also there is no mention of his activation so I suspect he was not there.
