[Game] Kings @ Spurs - 3/5/16 - 5 PT, 8 ET

I don't see the players quitting yet. Omri is making hustle plays all over the place. Darren just forced a turnover. We're still fighting but we can't score against Pop's defense. The rest of the league has the same problem.

San Antonio is struggling to score right now. Refs aren't calling fouls, which is working in our favor because Kawhi keeps driving to the basket. On our end, Rudy hit a three and DeMarcus got a couple baskets. We're turning it back into a game. Cut the lead to 9 but then Kawhi got a tough basket to drop so now it's 11. Kings TO (sorry -- that's time out not turnover).

Can someone tell me why the coach wasn't fired at the all star break? This team has no more fight. I am ready for tank mode. That was a really hard game to watch.

I know this was the Spurs who are undefeated at home and no one gave us a chance but when 3 of their starters are not playing, you have to do more to take advantage of it.

I don't understand why we didn't start the game posting Cousins up to get their alredy thin frontcourt into fould trouble. Instead we persisted with Cousins around the perimeter until it was too late to come back. Really amateurish coaching this year. I see our D is back to giving up open, uncontested 3s.

you have to seriously question the IQs of our wing players when Matt Bonner is suddenly left wide open for a three because they all decide to come run inside to help on Tony Parker. ****ing morons. Jesus. I couldn't coach this team. The union would demand my resignation when I started ***** slapping idiots every time they left a known designated three point shooter to accomplish nothing.

You also have to seriously question whether or not the lack of defensive ability from the Kings guard combinations overshadows their offensive abilities. These guys couldn't stop their own shadow.

I don't know why any of you are disappointed with the outcome. They lost to the team that's slated to have the 3rd best record in NBA history and have not lost at home all season long. Not only that but they systematically and schematically dismantled this team. No amount of effort would have changed that. This team is usually in a hole the moment they start the game because they lose the coaching matchup from the get go. Worst coaching staff in the league by far. Silly defensive and offensive scheme. This season falls on George Karl.

While I didn't expect them to win anyway, even with the players that sat out, Parker was practically a non factor, Spurs had 20+ turnovers and they still won fairly easily despite the scoring indicating otherwise. I lost count how many lay ups the Spurs had. Putting Cousins in pick and roll situations is brutal to watch on defense.

First of all, you didn't say close the thread, you said close that section of the site. We're not doing that.

Second of all, we wouldn't close a section of the site based solely on inactivity. And, if we did, the #General forum wouldn't be close to the first one to go; neither would the #WNBA forum.

I love Quincy Acy but man WCS has looked like crap lately cause he's not getting consistant playing time how is no one in the front office doing anything about this.......This organisation does everything backwards we willl develop Mclemore for years but when we have a legit rookie to build around we rather play Casspi at PF and take WCS out the first mistake he makes.

I wonder if Q could defend the likes of Lenoard/Durrant and other SFs instead of Rudy who really has no interest in hustleing against anyone. If we get knocked out of the play off race would not mind seeing them try Q defending 3's. If Q could maintain his 3pt% at like 37% or more could he in a couple years maybe develop into a 3 and D type player (minus the handles). It's a long shot.........

Pop was masterful the way he set his player rotation and when he called his timeouts. Ginobili scored 22 points in 15 minutes after a long layoff. The Spurs double and triple team Cousins in the paint and when Cousins would pass out the Kings shooter would generally miss. Ben, Marco and Omri were a combined 6 for 26. Kings also lost the rebound battle 46 to 33. The big Serb Boban Marjanovic came in for 18 minutes and scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while defending Cousins very well.

Even missing 3 starters the Spurs had Leonard, Parker, Diaw, D. West, Ginobili, Patty Mills, Anderson (6'9" guard who grabbed 7 rebounds) and Marjanovic contribute to this win. They have Dre Miller and KMart waiting in the wings.

The Spurs are legendary good this season but since playing in the shadow of the Warriors it seems to be not getting as much attention as it warrants.

Wait Rudy played in this game? I thought it was just a guy off the streets who was wearing Rudy's jersey. Sure as hell didn't look like an NBA player to me.
