In Malones interview after practice he mentioned OJ getting an opportunity 'In the last 25 games' more than once. Sure seems like a bigger deal than most 10-day contracts. Feels like he'll be here for the rest of the year at the least.
Malone also said he's hear to play. He'll be playing tomorrow. I'm excited for it. I do think he's one of these guys who just needed an opportunity, and Sacramento has had some success with those guys in the past. Marcus Thornton was one of those guys. Beno Udrih was one of those guys. Jermaine Taylor was one of those guys.
He wasn't known for his defense in college, but reading up on him and his time in Indy it appears like he was a pretty solid defender there (but so is everyone) ... He can score, though, which is something our bench could use. He and McCallum could be a fun little tandem to watch moving forward.
