Everyone defending these moves sure is certain its easy to trade away our garbage for good pieces.
We still have movable assets....and for who we are targeting, i think they will suffice.

What need does this fill though? PDA said he wanted to improve passing and shot blocking yesterday right? And find a SF. How does this accomplish one of those?
Cheap perimeter defense off the bench I believe is the point.Sam Young < Outlaw < Salmons I mean whats the fn point. geez the is fn stupid.
But where will he see minutes, unless he steals them from PPat/JT?
This is what I see. Not going to be popular. I know people wanted a turnaround. But if this next draft is what people say it is we can potentially get a player of Tyreke's caliber who is a better fit for what we have if we stay in the lotto. Meanwhile make some trades to better round out the roster, hopefully some true veteran leadership.Step 1 carve out the cancer and put together a group of teammate that can play professional basketball; Step 2 get an impact player in the 2014 lottery; Step 3 ... after players see that playing in Sac is no longer complete hell, overplay a good vet to be our 3rd or 4th best player SF, PG, or PF depending upon the position we draft.
Professional vets on 1-2 years deals is what's coming next.
The guy is a stud... will kinda be like an assistant coach for Malone too. Very solid signing.lol at least carl landry is all in have u seen his twitter background https://twitter.com/CarlLandry
we could get that from summer league.Cheap perimeter defense off the bench I believe is the point.
Lol, no doubt!!!PPat and JT must NOT HAVE THEIR MINUTES DISRUPTED!!! They are Pillars of the Future! The CORE!!!! omg omg omg!!!!!????!!!!

Or better yet we could get it from Indiana's bench.we could get that from summer league.
2nd leading scorer is hardly marginal, even, and especially, with our terrible team in mind.Yes we lost Evans, but his contribution to our team as a whole was marginal.
We were a god awful defensive team because we were bad as a team. There are team defense and 1-on-1 defense. We had good individual who can defense well, like Evans. We didn't defense well as a team. Two different things. He was a good defender, but we were still a god awful defensive team.
That still remain to be seen. But we know that Evans was the best iso player we had, so there's that.He could score but our team was full of scorers who could more than make up for his absence.
And that's the most common argument from people on your side. "He wasn't a great play maker and he didn't make his teammates better." We were a team with no solid system (or a solid coach). I doubt you can run a play playing street ball. (You know what I mean... I'm not comparing directly with street ball, just as an analogy for a no-system team)He wasn't a great play maker and didn't make the players around him better.

for 5 years we have tried to get a PF to push JT out. nobody has done it yet. Landry, hickson, Robinson.

Edit: UGH.... my bad for hijacking the thread...
Sorry, I'm confused! How did you get from signing Landry, to Cuz being gone? Am I missing something? First off, Landry is a good player, and maybe they expect him to come off the bench, and not necessarily be starting next to Cuz. I have no idea, but I'm willing to wait and find out. Its also obvious to me that there's another move coming. They didn't go out and sign Landry so they could have a glut in the front line. It appears to me that their patching a hole in advance of creating one. As for Landry and Cousins not being able to play together, well, maybe if they had a coach the first time around that could design plays that worked well with the two of them together there might have been a different outcome.
On the other hand, its july 6th, and everything is going to hell in a handbasket, so personally I'm going to go and kill myself. I mean there's no hope. It probably would have been better if the team had moved to Seattle. That way we'd all feel better!
Probably won't happen this time either. JT is too valuable with his ability to play both frontline spots. The only way he gets pushed out of his starting role, is because he's traded, or they actually bring in someone better, which isn't likely.
That's fair but please, each of you say your your piece and be done with it. The treble negativity is two times tooCan you please refrain from throwing personal insults at those of us whose opinion it is that the front office has not been making good player personnel decisions so far this offseason? I have not used, and I promise to continue to avoid using any personal insults against those of us here who think the moves so far are just fine, or are optimistic that when the next shoe drops it will all make sense. Thanks.
Okay, so following along here , Tyreke Evans @ 11M per year is too much money, Carl Landry at 6.5M per year is just right. WTF? We just brought Landry back for another 4 years after he completely failed to compliment Cousins the first time. All of you who were on the fence about the Tyreke deal, where you at now?
$6.5 mil is exactly right for Landry. Don't let his last stint with us cloud your judgement

I agree with you, we should be a better team. Not good enough to be good, not bad enough to have a good chance at a high draft pick. This being in the middle greatly frustrates me.
