Anyone else think we rely on the 3 too much? We're shooting them like we're the warriors at times.
Absolutely. They live and die by the 3. I don't know that there is any changing that identity at this point

We just need to win 1 more game to clinch the 3rd seed.. after that I'd like to see all our main guys rest. Hopefully that 1 game won't come on the very last game.Maybe someone like Monk would have given us more energy. Searching for an excuse here and i picked that one - i wish we could play tomorrow night or something so we can quickly get over this crap. No need to go for 50 wins or whatever the hell at this point, clearly they didn't want it.
The records are near identical either way talk about overreact.Kings record at home this year aside, it's an advantage for everybody. Everyone falling massively victim to small-sample sizes.
Pretty much all our main pieces are even-keel type of players. They don’t really seem to get fired up by stuff like that for whatever reason.I just thought they'd come out more fired up considering the bulletin board material they'd been shown all week and all the great vibes. I think that's what kinda pissed me off more than anything but im already over it. On to the next
The playoffs will be telling because it seems we don’t always get up for games mentally. Are we Draymond Greening our way through teams like this or at home? It’s just a loss but it felt like we were kinda just coasting early expecting to turn it on in the late 3rd early 4th and steam roll them. The good news is we won’t have a coasting option in the playoffs so maybe we will see our best effort and focus every game come post season.
The way people talk, you'd think the Kings are below .500 at home, which simply isn't the case.

This game also showed me we are over-reliant on Fox isos in the clutch. What’s the gameplan if teams continue doubling Fox in the Playoffs? I’d like to see Sabonis get a go-to move in the clutch. Maybe run Fox/Sabonis PNRs to be less predictable.
(talking about McDermott)
Kenny: He's gonna be a good player
Kyle: Ahh... he's 31.
Kenny: Yeah but what I'm saying is he's going to be a good player going forward.
When nobody else can hit a 3 Monk's absence is certainly felt.I think it shows how important Monk is to the team, not only in his performance but his general demeanor when we are down and play with low energy. He is always the one who always play with effort regardless, sometimes to a fault, but you've never seen Monk out there not putting his all on the line.
THAT is what reminds me of Bobby the most.
Unless, if you tell me that, everyone in the Kings plays worse at home because they feel the pressure from having their family members in attendance. That is more plausible than homecourt advantage not applying to us.Kings record at home this year aside, it's an advantage for everybody. Everyone falling massively victim to small-sample sizes.
How much further does Thomas think McDermott has to go?
I'm just gonna watch a Friday the 13th marathon and forget all about it friend haha. On to Tuesday in New Orleans!I just thought they'd come out more fired up considering the bulletin board material they'd been shown all week and all the great vibes. This statement feels ahistorical somehow. We all love Malik. But they need their 6th man to muster energy they're in big trouble.
Not sure if I buy this because many of the family members live elsewhere.Unless, if you tell me that, everyone in the Kings plays worse at home because they feel the pressure from having their family members in attendance. That is more plausible than homecourt advantage not applying to us.
That's not what we are saying, but his general demeanor when he gets subbed in always gives us an extra dose of energy to push WITH him.We all love Malik. But they need their 6th man to muster energy they're in big trouble.
Something about not liking one's allies?Ham assaulting the team's home record for y'all with Keegs. Enjoy.
Gonna blow his mind if Kyle tells him his nickname...It was clear Kenny had never heard of McDermott before this game.
Yet it is still more believable than "oh we are so poor at home maybe it won't help us after all."Not sure if I buy this because many of the family members live elsewhere.
It was clear Kenny had never heard of McDermott before this game.
... it's legitimately a possibility that we drop 4 straight. We're playing against Pelicans, Mavs, Warriors, and Nuggets.I know it's unlikely to happen.. but hey we're the kings. If the Suns win all their remaining games and the Kings lose all their remaining games we lose the 3rd seed.
We have the 29th overall defensive rating... at home! Want to guess our def rating on the road? We're 9th!!!
This has to be a lack of focus thing right? How are they so far apart? This is more than the records... every game at home feels a lot closer than it should be.
