I like Slamson. I think the Gorilla was my favorite, mostly because I remember him coming to Kings games before Slamson existed. Coyote seems far less offensive than the worst mascots I've seen. Otherwise I have no set rankings.
The Gorilla is one of the most interesting mascots in pro sports. The dude worked as a freelance mascot for mutliple teams - taking on different jerseys. Genius business model if you ask me. Eventually sold his persona/long term contract to the Suns. But this dude created this character from scratch. The Suns didn't go out and decide they wanted a Gorilla. They hired the Gorilla because he was so great at what he does.

Thank you for coming to my NBA ted talk.

I love this team, but I think they are really up there with some of the worst defensive teams we've had in the past 15 years... I've never really seen anything quite like this. Guys who average 5.4ppg end up with 26pts. We let G-League players look like future All-Stars for a night

Unfortunately I agree. I thought the 08/09 team was putrid on the defensive end(And they were)but nothing like this. Need to lock down defenders better and not give teams so much space.

why can the Kings never perform at home? home court advantage in the playoffs is going to mean nothing lol
I get the frustration, but our records home and away are nearly identical. I do not think that come playoff time with the best officials being the only ones working and a huge national media spotlight that the HCA will be meaningless. Especially if it comes to a game 7.

We need to do better at home to move into elite team status. But playoffs and regular season are different animals.

Kings in the 2020-2021 season had I believe the worst defense in NBA history before this season had a bunch of teams that gave up more points. That team was still even worse than this Kings team defensively in points allowed

It’s far and away the worst defense on a good team ever. It’s baffling how bad we can be with the record they have.

This team is pretty sound in the second half and during the clutch defensively. Undefeated in OT as well. Not saying our defense is where it needs to be but our woes are also overstated a bit by folks who want to downplay our success.
