they only made 7-24 from 3 point land thats only 21 points. Most of there points were in the area a center would/could be covering. I know Tag doesn't like to go outside of the paint but not to give him any min's at all. Not to mention long shots equal rebounds.
Would it have changed the game? Well I doubt it. The King's didnt want it tonight I guess. Just another game were they thought they could walk in against a sub par team and win. Definately mentality of a championship team.

Webb was obviously hurting and pressed to much,and am I completely losing it or did the best shooter on the planet make 2 field goals?(and one of those was a layup!) We can't beat anyone(even Toronto) on the road when those guys score like that. That being said if we make 3 more free throws we could have taken it into overtime. We weren't meant to win this one.

I was thinking of our first or second round opponents... records will be undoubtedly much closer and you'll have to look back to losses like this one if we end up having to play most of the postseason on the road.

Give Tronto prop here folks the WERE hitting open shots,moving the ball well, and remember this team has also beatten SA, Phoenix and the T Wolves. So lets give credit where ctedit was due FYI Webber in the post game said his legs felt good, that it was just a bad shooting night.
BigWaxer - The perimeter is outside the paint. It isn't necessarily "downtown" or "beyond the arc" and it doesn't refer to just three point shots. And - in fact - I wasn't talking about three point shots. I was talking about the mid-range jumpers that I kept seeing them make. Tag would not have had any effect on those shots. In addition, TAG is horrible on a good day from the foul line and makes very few baskets.
Amazing to me how all of a sudden, Tag - the guy so many people moaned about us getting - is supposed to be the team savior on a night when everything else (with the exception of Brad's boards and Bibby's eventual scoring) went horribly wrong.

OK fine, we play really good defense in that forth quarter but we don't score. What do you have than? A double digit loss. When your down by 18 points, of course scoring along with defense gets you back in the game. RA has done a marvelous job using his bench in the last few games just like he promised. Than we lose a game where we were on a back to back and our two best players have awful nights, and all of a sudden you want to blame it on RA not using Tag. Makes no sense.

Well there may be a little more to qualify as a really good team than jsut loosing in Toronto, but yeah I think the Kings are a really good team... who just had a bad night. And Toronto is a decent team, that palys well at home and seems to have the ablity to step up for big games.Bballkingsrock said:

given the distance form the rim the majority of those shots came form thats not so bad, but yes if you are looking for a deciding factor in the game the look at the FT discrpency Kings 21-33 and Toronto 17-22 and Turn overs Kings 15 Toronto 11. But you still have to credit the Raps with a good game based on ball movement and running the floor.piksi said:

He had 10 rebounds last night. I hate Tag, he is not the Kings savior, He sucks as a player and I have always thought that. I still think that and think it was a bad pickup for the Kings. Now u get were I am comming from. I cannot stand him as a player... But I support him as a King.
But my thoughts on this game and topics.
It's kinda a double edge sword considering Brad was playing so well. Do we pull Brad and put tag in just to do it? No that wouldn't make sense. I would say maybe pull Webb and try Tag for a bit and put Miller as the PF. Who knows.
The starters except for 2 didn't want to play. It may have made a difference if tag was in. Would of been nice to see. Even 2 to 5 min of time just to see how the Raps would match up. Either way I think we would have lost.

Tonight our bench really got out played. Look at the Raps bench they had 35 pts ours had 16.
I may have been blinded the past week with the good play from our bench crew.
It's only one game lets see how the rest of this month unfolds. Gonna be a tough road after our next few games.

Look I have been a Tag supporter from DAY one. When only a few posters were not screaming that loosing Vlade and siginng Tag would be the undoing of the team. Do I think he sould paly more... yes. Do I think that he should paly every game, Im not sure. I do understand the litis of his game in as much as we ahve seen of him, but if I were coaching I might want to experiment to SEE those limits in action with this squad, tonight might have been a good time to try just such an experiment, but bear in mind it would be an experiment. Truth be told Tag like most big heavy cneters has historicly NOT palyed well defensivly against lighter athletic centers who shoot out side the paint. Tag is not know for his passing and has never really been part of a team offense before. So how well h will do for long minuets in Sac is unknown, but so far I would say he has earned the right to try in a game where the starters are strugleing against a team that is not paly off bound., or during a huge lead.. tonight would have been a good time, perhaps the game in Atalanta will provide a better lab if the starters can get a nice 15 point lead in the 3rd.SacTownKid said:

Don't get me wrong I see your point, Tag should at least get on the court. But you can't just ignore facts, We did outscore them in the paint, we did outrebound them. We couldn't score for long stretches... not exactly a situation screaming for Tag. But Hey, he should have at least gotten a shot, He's earned it.BigWaxer said:

I don't know him personally and from what I read (take that with a grain of salt) he is a great guy off the court and one has to give him props for his efforts in the community. Also one has to give him props for being in the league so long.
I can agree with what you said KP. He should have gotten a shot just to see if it created match up problems for the Raps. And unless he came in and completely changed the flow of the game (which we will never know) then the outcome would have likely been the same.
Either way I am ready for the ATL... A days rest may help some of those tired legs. Webb looked tired out there tonight. If Webb was on his game nobody on the Raps could have stopped him.
Either way bad loss, I am upset again but ready for the next round, it’s only Jan so we still have some time to tweak things.
