Agree. Richuan may not be as long as Metu but it’s not like Metu is a defensive specialist. Prefer Richuan for defense. And Metu stays open from 3 since let’s face it 24% is not scaring anyone
It's not just the 3 points. Metu is faster which means the offense could start running earlier and he could be a potential early spot-up guy or cutter for a quick transitional easy score which we've seen. Not sure why suddenly dumped on Metu like he never was good.

Richaun also runs the floor and is a lob threat (remember the 2-man game he had going w/Tyrese). Holmes is a better rebounder, esp. on the offensive end, and much better shotblocker. Both are mobile. Metu is a 30% career 3-pt shooter, 24% this year. I.e., not much of a "spacer." If I'm the opponent a Metu 3 is what I want.
I’ve got to say credit to Fernandez too to put him in after the ejection. Even though he only played 3 mins, he brought some great energy and toughness

Mitchell...I am giving him many chances and believe in him but the constant wide open miss 3s is getting on my nerve. I thought he's a gym rat, why does he keep missing those wide open shots? Maybe it has to do with the mechanic of his shots? It seems a little too high and arc.
Can't complain about his defense, and with that, I am fine with giving him some leeway as he improves on his shots. I do think the height of most NBA players these days being 6'7" - 6'9" makes him try to elevate quite a bit on his shot. I wouldn't mind him working on actually releasing quicker to avoid these high towers instead.

No one is dumping on Metu. Just good conversation on what value he brings vs Richuan. From what I remember, Richuan was pretty good in transition last year with Hali

Early in the season, the Kings would have lost this game. They started out 0-4 and most of those were close. They gradually learned how to win the tight games, to focus and do the little things that count at the end. I was pretty confident that, once they started to come back after the ejection, they could take the lead and keep it. Too close for comfort at the end, though!

Richaun needs Monk to play alongside with and set him up as Hali did. He's definitely more of a roll man in pick and roll, and he's not so good at dribble handoff, which we run a lot this season.

And the dumping on Metu is directly from the quote "He does nothing better than Richaun".

Let's see. I was disappointed in the cut man the Kings had. It took too long for the blood to congeal from Fox's head. Also, Fox really needs to keep his center of gravity much lower when playing VanFleet. Get down in the three-point stance, fire out on the snap and keep those legs churning to prevent from getting bowled over by the defensive lineman. Lastly, regarding the presser, Sabonis needs to add a few languages to his lexicon. Maybe he could speak fluent French next time when he's in Toronto, or some German when he's back in Philly. Other than that, great win!

getting drubbed last night and on a back to back beating an underperforming Raps team is a job well done. The Brown ejection was that injection the team needed to get over that mental hurdle. finish strong with a win in Detroit, who gave them a run all game long at G1C

I'm a big RH fan but his minutes were really ugly first 10-15 games of the season. Thus he was benched. Metu has been better imo. Not perfect but not as bad as Holmes was playing. I would like to see RH get another chance but wonder if he can be the backup 5 we need him to be, rebounding and blocking some shots.
