Hall of Famer
Domas was +13 in a game where he played 40 minutes and the final margin was 1 point. Meaning the 8 minutes without him on the floor were a disaster.

21-20-7 and they were crowding him all game. Again, he is an engine on a potential contender. It’s all about getting the right guys around him. Kings have a lot of right guys around him but they need even more right guys and the Kings will keep getting better.

Great to see the return of Star Fox. Getting mugged all night. Had a rough night shooting in his sweet spot as a result of the mugging. Good his three ball was pure tonight

Monster second half for Monk.

TD basically had a good Huerter game offensively and made up for it.

don’t blow a 3-3 road trip in Detroit, please. No Ghosts of Kings Past nonsense with CoJo, Bags, and Burks. Take care of business.

They took some of their worst losses of the season on this road trip, but at the end of the day 2-3 isn't bad at all considering the competition. And winning on the 2nd night of a B2B against the Raptors is more than respectable.

Wow not sure how we pulled that off! Team finally woke up when Brown get ejected (absurd 5pt play there for the Raptors), and played with a lot more energy and fire on both sides of the ball. These are the type of games that we would have laid over so easily in prior years. Really impressed with their composure and says something about dealing with adversity

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

Still insane to me that we win a game like this, especially on the heels of last night. I feel like we're ahead of the 1999 team but I didn't have league pass back then so I don't recall how long it took for us to even get a hint of respect from the refs. We're officially 1/3rd into the season now and clearly worthy of getting a fair shake.

Our energy level was low from the get go. After a whole bunch of no-calls, we were looking like we'd accept the fate that dealt to us until Coach Brown took it upon himself. We took an adrenaline boost from that and rally back ahead. The Raptors were miserably outrebounded by Domas the whole game and couldn't really find any rhythm besides FVV and some Scottie Barnes one-on-one.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Metu runs and spaces the floor, fine offensive rebounder and lob threat.

They are just good at different things, I wouldn't say "he does nothing better than Richaun".
Richaun also runs the floor and is a lob threat (remember the 2-man game he had going w/Tyrese). Holmes is a better rebounder, esp. on the offensive end, and much better shotblocker. Both are mobile. Metu is a 30% career 3-pt shooter, 24% this year. I.e., not much of a "spacer." If I'm the opponent a Metu 3 is what I want.

Shoulda been done long ago. W/respect to Metu and the fine job he's done, he does nothing better than Good Richaun except make 3's at a low clip.
Agree. Richuan may not be as long as Metu but it’s not like Metu is a defensive specialist. Prefer Richuan for defense. And Metu stays open from 3 since let’s face it 24% is not scaring anyone

It's situational, at best. I actually thought the Raps would've been a game where Metu can perform some in their lanky lineup. Turns out it was Richaun's beef that took hold. :p

Fox play well and the Kings usually win.
Monk play well also, clutch 3...need to reduce those TOs though...but he works hard and I like that...
Sabonis dominate the glasses and play well the whole game
Holmes doesn't seem to know how to play defense? Someone need to teach him out to jump straight up vertically to challenge shot, jeezus, don't just stand there and be useless, use your big body.
Mitchell...I am giving him many chances and believe in him but the constant wide open miss 3s is getting on my nerve. I thought he's a gym rat, why does he keep missing those wide open shots? Maybe it has to do with the mechanic of his shots? It seems a little too high and arc.
Barnes as usual solid
