Indeed. Yeah, Mark, I think it's fair to say that HB hasn't rediscovered his rhythm.
I missed most of the first quarter but what I've seen since tuning in is inexplicable. Every bounce is going the Raptors way, every Raptors shot is going in, our bigs can't dunk or make a layup, our guards are better at passing to the Raptors than their own teammates. We're getting outhustled and outmuscled so badly it seems like we're a JV team that wandered into the wrong arena. Is this even the same team that beat the Lakers in 3OT two weeks ago?

Even after this presumed L Gentry will still be at 5-6 compared to Luke’s 6-11. Team has looked apathetic for most of the year between both of them

This is a bottom-10 most dispirited, sadsack performance we've seen from them since early last year.

The silver lining is that, if Monte and Vivek were tempted to stay put or tweak around the edges, this is the kind of performance to put them off that.
-Lost to a Hornets squad missing 6 of it's regular rotation players, including it's franchise star Melo Ball
-Got beat into the ground by the Cavs
-Getting beat into the ground by the Raptors.
If this doesn't convince everyone in the Kings power structure that this core/team is broken, nothing will.

I feel like we've seen equal or worse from listless Kings squads in the last 9 years and it's still never enough to convince the stupid ***hole in charge.

There's always a lot of pages on game threads when people get heated.
I imagine the apathy will set in after the tumbleweeds at the deadline and the reports of Vivek wanting to push for the 10th seed.
Not to mention the loss to a Sixers team missing all its starters (if Simmons is included).
What's funny, is I bet Game threads will be popping if it's all young guys. I think people will be real interested in seeing that development

But I agree. What do Vivek and McNair think is going to change to make this team competitive?
I love Fox but I don't see a way that the Kings can be a consistent playoff team with him as the best player. So where are the Kings getting a 2nd star from?
I'm pretty much checked out as a fan at this point. Not only is the current team bad, there's no reason to expect that will change any time soon.
Again, I'd rather be in the position of Rockets or Pistons fans. Yeah, their teams are bad but at least there's compelling young talent that are fun to watch and give hope that the team will be good in a few years.

In the case of Barnes, he was in our range up until he wasn't lol. Dude rose up draft boards like a rocket the second his combine measurements came in and teams got to interview him.
What if they added Derozan instead of Chicago? Wouldn’t you think a Fox/Derozan team would be good? I do.

Doesn't look like it, he's not showing up on the box score list. I was hoping he would get some minutes in the last game blowout, especially against the Cav's bigs.

I can, he's the one that started this turd sliding downhill and put Fox far back enough to where people thought he wasn't worth a deep 2nd rounder. All that said, this is Monte/Viveks fault for letting that happen in the first place.

Hali is a complimentary piece (albeit one I believe in and may have an outside shot to develop into a star).
Mitchell is a role player defensive guard meant to patch up the league worst defense.
They were both NBA ready guys drafted to fit with this current core, not high ceiling guys for a rebuild that were likely to break out into stars.
They're pretty damn ho-hum, and we might want to look at trading them for higher ceiling guys.

Nah, I'd rather trade our stars for potential high ceiling guys so we'd just put Hali and the young crew into it and they are now your rotation.
