He knows he is going to get fouled. Why risk the TO?
Not to mention, the way things are going, Jimmer probably would have missed the FTs

Evans refuses to pass the ball to Fredette for free throws.
one game.. IT obviously fresh legs and opp. team clearly hasnt had him scouted. Good game for IT i wouldnt jump on starting him yet... Let's see in a few more games if he is conssistently putting up solid contribution..
A 6'6" small forward? No thanks.
Well what's your suggestions for SG then, because we CANT bench Marcus...
Next up Cuz against Dally
Well what's your suggestions for SG then, because we CANT bench Marcus...and Salmons shouldn't even be allowed on the team plane, let alone play. So...I'm down with Donte at SF, but if you start Isaiah at PG and Reke at SG then your 20ppg SG is on the bench.
As an aside Salmons is listed 6-6...
Why not? There's no rule that your five best players have to start. Ask Rick Carlisle if you don't believe me.
We can get this one!!!
Go Kings!!
If Smart can sell Thornton on being a 6th man of the year contending super sub, I think that would be GREAT for the team.

How about we just try the more obvious Reke/Thornton/Cousins trio with Thomas bringing spark off the bench for starters before hopping up and down and overreacting off of one game. We got a taste in Denver of what having a 5'8" sdtarting guard can do against the wrong matchups. Some guys are just built to be bench sparkplugs who come in and give you a shot in the arm.
Salmons shouldn't be starting at SF, either.
Smart gave a clue why he didn't play Cuz much in the 1st half yet played Reke incredible minutes. He is trying to get the guys into shape. Didn't Cuz play the entire 2nd half? I think Phil Jackson is the guy who said that guys need to know how to play when they are exhausted. Probably not a unique concept. In any case, Cuz looked good with no rest.

Much as I had given up on Donte, would like to see him more. He isn't helping his case much, but he is one guy who can play solid defense on the big, athletic SFs in the league, something that's been killing us. Hopefully, with more regular minutes, and a better defined role, he can find a rhythm.
As an aside, the SF position has lot of great players around the league right now. Bron, Malo, KD, GW, Gay, Deng, Iggy, Granger and even old war horses like Pierce and Odom. When we brought in Salmons, I had thought it was a good move, since he shall bring some veteran consistency with him. It might still happen, but so far, he's fared badly against the better ones. Greene has the size and athleticism to hang with the above guys. Wonder how he's doing at practices, since the coaching staff obviously doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in him.
