Michael Redd - Cheap Shooter
J.R. Smith - Slasher off the bench for a solid 6th man or potential starter
J.J. Barea - Solid PG
Caron Butler - Vet SF that might come cheap
Yi Jianlian - Could be a starting PF
Andrei Kirilenko - Defense
Greg Oden - Why not
Jeff Green - Not going anywhere but if he does...
Marcus Thornton - He can score
Mike Conley - Probably not going anywhere unless its a trade
Marc Gasol - Staying but you never know
Mike Dunleavy - Can shoot the 3
Aaron Brooks - Not going anywhere but would be a solid PG
Reggie Williams - Not that bad of a player, can come off the bench

Not going to lie, next years FREE AGENTS are horrible, damn it!

Wow, for real. I dont really want any of those guys.

I think we should use our capspace for a trade. We're going to have a lot of youth stockpiled after this upcoming draft.

A player that wasn't on that list is the improving Nick Young. That guy has been playing out of his mind and has been putting up 20+ points in almost every single game this year, off the bench! Now, with Gil traded, he is going to have an opportunity to really showcase himself by being hopefully the starting SG. So we def. need to make a offer for him, he is a great shooter. Improving on defense too.

Depending on the cost, I would be interested in Oden. No doubt he has talent when he is healthy. At long as he doesn't command too much money, could be a fantastic buy low opportunity.

Can Jeff Green play SF? Seems like he was pushed to PF because Durant's a SF. I don't like him at PF, but at SF... He doesn't shoot a good percentage from 3, but he takes a bunch of them. Nothing else on that list I'm interested in.

Our best bet has always been absorbing salary in a trade. If Lebron, Bosh, or Wade would consider Sac, they would have been signed last summer.

Agree with Nick Young, could be a very nice SG next to reke

That list is very underwhelming, I would take Marcus Thornton over Brooks, just because of his size over Brooks, and ability to play off the ball a bit more.

Some of the guys I would consider if the price was reasonable:

Kirilenko
Przybilla(if healthy to backup Cousins)
Kapono
Roger Mason
Prince
Afflalo(RFA, but I would consider offering him a contract)
Delonte West(would help, but worth the risk?)
Big Baby
Reggie Williams(RFA, but a lot of talent)
Dunleavey
Fesenko
Nick Young(RFA, but I'd make a play)

That list blows. Everyone that doesn't want us to trade for a player bc they want us to preserve our capspace should look at this list

Thats not the complete list by a long shot. We won't know for sure until seasons end. There are several players that can opt out if they desire. I think the idea of waiting isn't just about signing freeagents, but to see what the fallout is from the new CBA. There could be a lot of teams looking to shed salary in order to get under the cap. So your right, we may well aquire who we want through a trade. There may teams willing to part with players that they would rather keep, but can't under the new agreement. We'll just have to wait for the smoke to clear from the new agreement to know what we can or can't do.

That's too prudent, Baja. People don't have that kind of patience.

Although, now that you mention it, I am intrigued by who has the option to opt out early. Know where one could find the list?

Very good points. Imho the only way we can aquire anything better than role player type talent will have to be via trade. I'll admit i didn't think about the cba. Only prob with patience is that with too much of it there may not be a team in Sacramento to root for anymore :(

So are you saying then that we should all route for a very low salary cap that demolishes everybody except for the Kings and a few others? I'm all for that!:D

Redd careers done - pass
Yi Jianlian starting PF? some kind of a joke? - pass lol
Oden has doomed knees - pass
Conley has signed an extension already - pass
Ak-47, Marc Gasol, Jeff Green, Caron Buttler (specially if the Mavs make a deep playoff run like I expect them to) arent goin anywhere, they'll end up resigned...

out of ur list and IMHO only ones who make sense are JR Smith if the Nuggets decides to blow out the team which I doubt, JJ Barea if we overpay (more than the MLE) him like we did with Beno...Marcus Thornton would be my pick
