You know, another subtle thing about Luke is that he doesn't understand psychology at all. You take your starters out at the high point in garbage time so they leave on a positive note. Keeping them in until the end keeps them in as the game starts sliding the other way so now, they leave on a negative note.

This hate on Bagley is comical. Guys played 10 min all season. Hustled and didn't hesitate to shoot out there and brought something new to the team. All of this is meaningless against such a terrible team but... All these sarcastic comments making grown men in here sound like 12 year old girls snickering at the new girl at lunch.
sorry, but no. The plays that were being referenced was a 1 on 3 charge, followed by spinning in a circle as a player drove by him followed by aggressively guarding nobody as they cut away. That has nothing to do with effort or hustle.

SLAB

Dude lost any and all credibility, benefit of the doubt, and the mean comment safety net when he didn’t check in.

Forget about that much needed extra burst and the threat of a big man actually scoring off the drive for once. The charge was suspect as well. Regardless, he's playing no worse than harkless did for 12 games or metu for that matter. Js the snickering is a lil childish for a forum calling a player childish.

Speaking of harkless, how does one go from starting 13 games to no PT in one game lol. Maybe he shouldn't have been starting in the 1st place Luke! Whats the logic of from starter to nothing? Honest question?

Luke has always looked for the answers to his problems at the fringes of his rotation. Why was Len playing so well, Tristan not, yet Len hasn't played in the last couple of games? He fiddles. Metu is an upgrade but in the end we'll have to see how it works against the real deal teams that will attack the big lineups at every turn if this starts to get back on track and expectations rise.

Why do I feel like this wasn't the first time we've had a "must win or coaches are gone" game against the Pistons, that we won and ultimately led to said coach sticking around?

Edit: ah - last year we were on our first 9 game losing streak going into the game against the Pistons, and everyone was like if we lose to the Pistons Walton is gone. Well we won, and he stuck around long enough for us to get another 9 game losing streak woohoo! Good times.

Lets fast forward into the future. Vivek Ranadive on not firing Luke Walton earlier in the season: "Well, he won the Pistons game, what was I supposed to do?"

Well. Loved Ty's game night. And loved that Metu was able - apparently - to solidify his spot in the rotation, presumably as starter.

Moe Harkless, former starter? Terrence Davis, sometime rotation guy? Nope.
