Kings then follow up for a deal of SAR to the Bulls for Duhon/Khyapa - waive Michael Doleac and have the following roster:

SF: Danny Granger, Francisco Garcia, Viktor Khryapa*

Brad may be the toughest to move in this situation, but he's a good guy and plays the hardest position to fill. Maybe in a year or two we could move him as Hawes is ready to take over more minutes at the 5 and shed another year off his deal in order to get WELL below the salary cap for the summer of 2009. As is...2009 would still be a good situation for us with Brad on the payroll and we'd have a nice young core nucleus of:

C: Hawes
PF: 2008 lotto pick/Justin Williams
SF: Danny Granger/francisco garcia
SG: Kevin Martin, Quincy Douby
PG: 2008 Miami Heat pick/John Salmons

Then use the free agent money to go after other pieces at the 1, 4, 5 positions.

Kings rebuilt and ready to rumble with Portland/Minnesota/Seattle in the West.

I would assume Indy views Granger in much higher regard than this, although if they choose to win now around keeping JO and their overpayed Golden State garbage, he's one of their few pieces. But I think they could do better than Bibby, or at least they'd feel so, if they decide to trade Granger. He's really one of the few bright spots they have right now.

Eh? Maybe, I'm a little closer to Indy here in Louisville and they HATE Tinsley...it's not so much Bibby for Granger as it is Bibby for Granger AND the removal of Tinsley's FOUR year deal off the books.

He's held in contempt the same way Kenny F. Thomas is as well.

According to the poll, which asked "How will Tinsley do under JOB?" the results were nowhere near as negative as you're suggesting.

As you can see, nearly 58% of the respondents to the poll think Tinsley will do better under O'Brien and only 6% actually want him replaced.

I am pretty sure that Ind won't do this, unless they are win now mode which i don't think they are. I think that they would much rather keep Granger and Trade Oneal and rebuild.

I agree that's what they should do, but I'm not sure if it's what they can do. They're stuck with the huge contracts of Dunleavy and Murphy, it seems, so unless they can move those two as well as JO, rebuilding is still limited.

Exactly why I think Bibby makes a TON of sense there....he'd give them a steady PG(many call the most important position on the floor) and would make a lethal tandem with JO...maybe Bibby can bring the best out Dumbleavy and Murphy...but if all else fails...just having Bibby/JO come of the books the same year would create a LOT of cap space even with the bloated deal sof Murphleavy.

I think we should. The chances of us building a championship contending team while Bibby is still young are very slim.

oh no, i agree. was trying to point out that bibby as the "steady guy at the most important position" may have been overselling him just a wee bit.

Very Similar, lol.

But really i don't think a team of Dunleavy, Murphy, Bibby, and JO could win any thing in the east. And other then JO none of them could do much else but score and thats not on an every day basics either. After what turned out to be an awful trade with GS, i think the pacers are only willing to trade there best young talent to make their team a elite team not a so so team.
