Kings deal: Ron Artest, Mike Bibby, Kenny Thomas
Kings receive: Jason Williams, Antoine Walker, Danny Granger, Jeff Foster, Michael Doleac, 2008 1st round pick from Miami.
Pacers deal: Jamaal Tinsley, Jeff Foster, Danny Granger
Pacers receive: Mike Bibby, Dorell Wright
Heat deal: Jason Williams, Antoine Walker, Michael Doleac, Dorell Wright, 2008 1st round pick
Heat receive: Ron Artest, Jamaal Tinsley, Kenny Thomas
Kings then follow up for a deal of SAR to the Bulls for Duhon/Khyapa - waive Michael Doleac and have the following roster:
C: Brad Miller***, Jeff Foster**, Spencer Hawes
PF: Antoine Walker**, Mikki Moore**, Justin Williams
SF: Danny Granger, Francisco Garcia, Viktor Khryapa*
SG: Kevin Martin, John Salmons, Quincy Douby
PG: Jason Williams*, Chris Duhon*, Mustafa Shakur*
* Expiring contract
** Two years remianing on deal
*** Three years reamaining on deal
Brad may be the toughest to move in this situation, but he's a good guy and plays the hardest position to fill. Maybe in a year or two we could move him as Hawes is ready to take over more minutes at the 5 and shed another year off his deal in order to get WELL below the salary cap for the summer of 2009. As is...2009 would still be a good situation for us with Brad on the payroll and we'd have a nice young core nucleus of:
C: Hawes
PF: 2008 lotto pick/Justin Williams
SF: Danny Granger/francisco garcia
SG: Kevin Martin, Quincy Douby
PG: 2008 Miami Heat pick/John Salmons
Then use the free agent money to go after other pieces at the 1, 4, 5 positions.
Kings rebuilt and ready to rumble with Portland/Minnesota/Seattle in the West.
