Kings- Orlando Magic Trade

I never wish any one any injuries, but i just heard that on ESPN that Tony Battie, the Magics starting center, now that Darko is gone, was injured and will be out most of the season...

now the magic are in a win now mode, with the $100 million signing of Rashard Lewis... now that Lewis is in orlando, Hedo becomes expandable and the magic need a new center....

How about a trade of Brad Miller to Orlando for Hedo and Carlos Arroyo (an ending cotract) or Keyon Dooling (an ending contract).

the kings will get rid of the massive contract of Miller and get Hedo more favorable 6mil/year contract... the gets also a servicable back up point guard with an ending contract (Arroyo or Dooling)... orlando gets a starting center that can make post passes to their big stars howard and lewis...

the kings new line up:

PF Moore SAR Thomas
SF Artest Hedo Salmons
C Hawes Williams
SG Martin Garcia Douby
PG Bibby Arroyo Shakur (DL)

I think the Magic should re-visist the Hedo for Kenny Thomas swap that Petrie offered a couple months ago.

Slide Dwight to the 5 and play Kenny at the 4. That'll allow Foyle to be the main guy off the bench. I'm sure they'll have to sign someone like PJ Brown etc to round out their big man rotation.

Why should we help them get more lotto balls than we will get?

KT makes just about $1M more per year for next 3 years than Hedo who gets $6.3M this coming year. If the 25% rule kicks in it can be a one for one with maybe a 2nd rounder coming back as well. Two very different styles: KT down low, 8-10 rebs, 8-10 pts; Hedo outside 10-20 pts including 3's and 3-5 rebs. Could be better for Orlando with their lack of rebounding now. Could make sense. But then we'd have another "big" who plays the 3 more than the 4 and he wouldn't start. That makes it tough.

Don't see it happening. I think the Kings are set pending maybe one invitee making roster. But KT doesn't see minutes this year is my guess..........
