Kings new Owners meet with Shaq!?!!???!?

the cool thing is, a couple months ago we didnt know if the Kings would still exist. now we are debating the pros/cons of a Hall of Fame center tutoring our young big man

Yes, it's nice to no longer be at Defcon 1...quite a welcome shift from "will we have a team" to "problems" like these, for sure.

Is there an ex-NBAer who's shown he knows less about understanding the game than Shaq, other than Magic?

His analysis on TNT is awful. Just awful. What's he going to teach Cuz? Drop step, elbow to the face? He's exactly the wrong type of center you'd want to work with Cuz. He had a fraction the skill Cuz has. He basically had a drop step with each hand, a jump hook with his right and a little 5-8ft turnaround going right and good at spinning off defenders(dislodged them half the time though). Much of his game was based off his size.

Cuz has game similar to Webber, and just what exactly would a guy like Shaq have taught Webber? Webber could teach Cuz a helluva lot more. So could Hakeem. So could KG when he retires. So could Vlade. You need a guy who's game relied on skill and developing and adding to that skill, not just overpowering smaller players because he's the biggest freak the league has ever seen.
So cousins can be all Finesse, and nothing but? A jumpshooter with the occasional post move and fadeaway jumper? No thanks.

What's so bad about Shaqs analysis? He may not be the best speaker in the world, but he knows the game, and he's a smart guy. Oh and yes, he was VERY skilled. Did you ever really watch him play? you can't be serious

Even simple things like Shaq pointing out (on TNT) that Cousins needs to dunk more - when extremely close to the rim - was/is helpful. I'd love Shaq to share some things with him. No one's asking the guy to be his personal life coach for eternity

Exactly. If anyone can help DFC in those areas, I don't care who it is.
