Greetings, fellow Kings fans!

What was supposed to be just a little rain turned into something ... well ... a little more.

It's beautiful but very cold and dry. It'll probably a big chunk of ice by morning.

I've got lots of coffee, my purple slippers are at hand, and I may just have to make another pot of garlic chowder.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't lose power.

If I had a better camera I would go outside and take some pictures tonight. With the full moon and the fresh snow, it would be almost as bright as day - and breath-takingly beautiful. But there are still clouds, too, so I'm not going to brave the cold.

Once again I was impressed with the comments Reggie made and the reports of his talks with the players about their shifting roles. This guy gets it; and tonight's game should be a pretty good indication of whether or not the players get it.

The player on the inactive list tonight is apparently Kenny Thomas, since I saw both Justin and Dahntay warming up. And please, just once, no KT bashing.

Moore to Miller, airball but Moore saves it as he falls oob. Slight delay as they mistakenly reset the shot clock. Now they're taking WAAAAAY too much time to decide how uch time should be on the clock. They finally come up with 6 seconds ... Kings to inbound.

Martin to Artest, who blows by Jefferson and is fouled hard by Williams. Moore was right there for the slam but they say the foul occured first and put Artest on the line.

Kings miss; Nets rebound. Martin almost gets the steal, Kidd misses and Artest grabs the board.

Artest smothering Jefferson, Nets miss. Kings rebound.

Martin shot blocked by Williams, might have been goal tend but no call.

Nets ball, pass stolen. Kings ball.

Martin three doesn't go; Nets rebound.

Artest with the pass interception, running with just Jefferson there and Jefferson fouls Ron by shoving him to the floor. Artest may be hurt - at least his foot or toe may be injured. He's limping pretty badly. Replay shows Ron caught his right foot on his own left foot after he was shoved by Jefferson.

Artest to the line to shoot the clear path foul. Misses both, but Kings have the ball and Salmons is in for Moore even though Artest can barely freaking walk.

Kings ball. Good ball movement but Salmons stumbles and is called for traveling.

First half comments:

Of course Salmons has fallen prey to a "turnip." To even think about any kind of period of time without a "turnip" would just be silly. Get well soon, John!! Hope it's not serious.

Now, as far as the rest of them go, this is fun. Bibby looks good on both ends of the court and Ron Artest has made Jefferson's night a living hell so far. Miller continues to impress with his hustle and Moore has been on the bad end of a couple of questionable calls (or non-calls). Putting him against Boone was interesting, though. Boone is ... well ... let's just say there's PLENTY of room for improvement in his game.

I'm seeing heart and hustle again and loving it. Props to Reggie.
