Yeah, I'm sure that's it. the front office doesn't care that we're being jobbed by the timberwolves.

good grief, folks. Yes, our team is deplorable tonight. Yes, we're still a REBUILDING team that, somewhat unfortunately, got such a good pick in the draft that our expectations have been unrealistic.

Hawes is a problem, a real and tangible problem. The lack of anything even remotely resembling a legitimate NBA center or a true backup is disheartening to say the least. But do you honestly think the front office either doesn't know or doesn't care??? Really?

Ok. Maybe I was a little harsh, but saying they don't care is the only explanation I can give the situation. Our last average defensive center was vlade. Since then we've seen Miller, Moore, and Hawes. Not to mention our lack of a BACK UP center who can defend.

Can you tell me what the problem is? I'd love to hear how anyone can justify having 4+ years of garbage interior D. I hope they know there is a problem, and if the do why aren't they even attempting to take care of it?

Donte Greene can't even hit a FT in garbage time, 0-4. Not to mention 0-7 FG's tonight. Horrible and deserving of grade F. Hawes grades D- tonight by comparison IMO. Terrible team performance overall.

It's funny, My team just trounced the daylights out of the Nets, and all I can think is that we're one step further from John Wall, and you guys lose to the Wolves and all I can think is "I still wish my team had their heart."

Going in to draft night, we needed a point guard and help for the front court. We got Tyreke, a bonus in Omri IMHO, and a serviceable role player in Brockman. We still desperately need help in our front court which everyone who even knows what a basketball is can attest to.

We're rebuilding, not rebuilt. I don't think anyone truly expected Hawes to not only quit improving but to regress the way he has. If he was playing with even the focus he had last year, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

So you're not even a Kings fan? Hrm...

I was upfront about that from day 1. I don't have that many posts, look it up.

I must have missed it. No big. It explains a lot... And it certainly saves me from arguing the fine points of Kings basketball any longer.

We're cool.

The draft is just one place to acquire talent.

Hawes was a bad defender last year too, but if you think we woulndt be having a conversation about our interior defense if Hawes was playing better than I guess were really just not on the same page.

It's bigger than Hawes. JT can't defend without fouling. Noc is playing as a big when he's not.. I haven't seen enough of Brock to say he can't defend, but he is undersized.

I understand this isn't the finished product yet, but at the same time I honestly believe that with a big man who can defend we would have around 4-5 more wins this season.

Oh I totally agree with you in that regard. I just think the frontcourt problem is one that will be addressed next. Quality big men just don't fall off trees. At this point, bringing in a Bosh or an Okafur is I'm sure the primary objective of the front office. But they're not going to find that player flipping burgers or sitting at home on his couch. Petrie has put a bunch of young players in place already; add in the missing piece and the league better sit up and take notice.

What the hell happened I missed the game, btw guards and good help defense also help defend the paint..

we were too arrogant after the Wizards game without a reason for it

national TV game came to early

2 starters didn't score

Watching that game was a painful experience. It literally hurt to watch such bad basketball. The T-Wolves didn't play well, we just stunk the joint up! No one on the Kings had any energy or fire. It seemed like they just got off the plane and rushed to the arena to play the game without a break. Actually that happened once in Denver and they played better than this... I was disappointed but it's only one game.

Spencer is playing his way farther and farther toward the end of the bench. It's not just his effort anymore. He seems to have an attitude problem now about his game. I sure hope he breaks out of the funk he is in because we are desperate for help at the center position. JT cant be the inside scorer and defensive stopper too. Not every night. We need help at center and I dont see any help on the bench. This is going to really be hard to play small ball every night. I think the Wolves were waiting to get us back for that 20 pt win at Arco. Lets hope for more energy and a competitive effort tomorrow night... :o

Reke trying to finish at the rim in situations where lebron would not be able to consistently score. But he is a kid and will learn how to play it smarter.

Greene was pretty clueless out there. Losing that rebound at 9 down was horrible.

FG % = 42.9
3PA/3PM was 27/4  many of those were uncontested!
Donte was 0 for 7 from the field and 0 for 4 for free throws:confused:
JT, Omri and Beno played OK. The rest of the guys had a very bad night.

I can't stand Spencer Hawes. Make a layup scrub!!!!

Haha... If he could he wouldn't be a scrub now wouldn't he? The way he drags his feet....what a stiff. And he took another corner three and clanked it. He should get jail time when he hoist those.

We are getting worked inside because he's not in the game. He's not in there because he sucks. He can't score, he can't post, he can't rebound, he can't defend, he can't block. So it is his fault.

Sounds like the Stephen A. Smith kwame Brown rant."no disrespect the guy is a bona fide scrub"-- classic
