Well generally one of the jobs of the PG is to see everybody at all times, but obviously just a doh on the first professional play for a 19 year old kid.
Yeah, I must admit that it bothered me a little - although (as you noted) he did make a nice recovery. So now we can wonder about Reke's peripheral vision!

Oh come on, how do you interpret the words bothered me a little? A little. That's all! I'm not going to pretend that I didn't notice it, or that I hadn't wished it didn't happen on his first time up the court! And my crack about Reke's peripheral vision was not serious. Evans looks quicker than I had thought which is great to see. The guy has smooth handles and that drive and dish looks sweet. Had one or two beautiful moves to the basket as well. Without getting too excited over a couple plays in a meaningless game, this kid looks like he could be special. Not many guys can make plays like him.

Actually, it is the job of your teammates to let you know that someone is coming up from behind. That is the kind of poor communication you would expect from players who had never played together before.
