Jimmer was bad last year. He came in this year looking confident and playing as well as a #10 pick should be playing in his 2nd year. There was hope. Now he seems to be regressing. I'm, not sure what he is doing except perhaps trying to be an IT clone. I wish he had the confidence of Garcia and would throw up threes whenever he felt like it. If he doesn't shoot, he is of little use to us. If he begins hitting threes at the rate he is capable of, he is worth quite a bit. Not a starter but a good bench guy.

With my knowledge (or lackthereof) of how Keith Smart's mind functions, I'd be more impressed if it wasn't him.

And can we really blame him? The poor guy does his best to actually run an offense and sees DNP after DNP because of it, while IT gets the greenlight to shoot and shoot and shoot every game. If I were Jimmer, a reputed scorer/shooter, I'd emulate IT too.

mac, I agree about Jimmer. I think the same thing can be said about several players. They are trying to figure out what it takes to get minutes and are losing their game in the process.

My coaching philosophy has always been to play to the strength of the player and not ask him to change his style to suit an artifical definition of his position or what he perceives is Smart's requirement. I wonder if Smart has even noticed that Tyreke has reverted to his rookie season style, the style that works best for him. Tyreke has also developed a jump shot which I think is part of the normal development of most players and has become quite a good player. Tyreke should never have been asked to be something he isn't like a SF.

Brick nailed why I am so damn angry. Finally we have a team that can respond to good coaching and we don't have a good coach. It is such a waste and a perfect explanation why free agents won't sign with us and why several draft prospectss including TRob refused to work out for the Kings. Being a King can cost you years on your career.

We should have an immense party if the team stays and we have competent ownership. With reasonable trades to balance our team, we could add 15 wins. We have talent but it is mismatched.

Who will sponsor the party? If I had the money I once had, I'd do it and make sure a few people outside the area could get here. Alas, physical disability.
