I think we all need to remember that this is an offensive team right now. Any defensive thoughts we may have had are all gone. Malone said as much, and acknowledged that it's incredibly frustrating.
I still trust Malone. I just hope PDA gets him more to work with.
I'm beyond fed up with IT to the point I have to admit my own bias. I can no longer judge him fairly because I want to squish his head between my fingers every time I see a Pizza Guy commercial and the feeling carries over into the game. He is overhyped, which is not his fault. He is idolized by Jerry, which again is not his fault. He was put into the role of starting PG, which is also not his fault. I honestly cannot blame him for wanting to make the most of his opportunity, to prove once and for all that he is the lion in the mirror. In fact, to be honest, I would be upset if he settled for anything less. That's what makes the whole IT scenario so blasted frustrating.
I like Jimmer...a lot. I think he could be an asset, especially now that he's finally getting his confidence back. Unfortunately, he's not a fighter. He doesn't demand playing time. He doesn't get angry. He's a nice guy...and in the NBA that's not gonna get you very far.
