once again, the Refs make a call to determine the outcome of the game. With that said, miss to free throws at the end of the game and you win. Once again. free throws haunt the Kings. When oh when will they learn to shoot free throws????

at the commercial, i was totally thinking double team kobe and let someone else take the shot...i turned away for a second and looked up to see kobe with a wide open 3. i know people said they he pushed off on sergio but if he was double teamed at least one person might have had a hand in his face...but he probably would have made it anyways :p

but the real story is......

1. kobe left the old man at home with the stove on.
2. made five thousand babies cry....
3. He IS OBL
4. starved a couple of people then just fed em cause he wanted to...:D
but he was playing with a cut on his pinky, his toe hurt, and he was pretty sure he had a hang nail.

In other news, what was up wth the random technical on Omri?

To be honest, I'm not a Hawes fan, never was. However, I NEVER bashed him on every single game. Its gets old when people bash Sergio on EVERY SINGLE GAME.
Sergio hasn't played well the last month. He's played better the last two games, but continue's to make bone-headed plays. He has no control of the offense. The Sergio bashing hasn't been EVERY SINGLE GAME. He wasn't even in the rotation for a couple weeks. But as fans, fans will always point out when a player doesn't play well.

That being said, Sergio isn't the reason we lost. Missed ft's of course contributed. So did the fact JT didn't score a single point, which is a bigger deal to me.

After reviewing that shot a million times I can tell you 100% Kobe was out of bounds.
Nothing conclusive,at least not the LA feed I'm getting on League Pass.He was right in front of our bench. Someone would have jumped if he was out of bounds. So you reviewed it a million times and you are 100% sure?Jim Ayen(?) the assisstant was pointing to the line as Kobe jumped to his shot spot but moved his pointing finger back as Kobe landed... You know .. I bet he landed in bounds.

Btw, Sergio wasn't the once who was supposed to guard Kobe but Udoka who mad a switch and left Sergio alone on two players!

Sergio was guarding Vujacic on the bouncing pass.

I don't know, it sure doesn't look like he was inbounds in the replay.

What the hell are you talking?
Good shots when out, and one pass was a little big to strong but was the right play.
And at the first half he played almost perfect.

The bashing of Sergio has been everytime he plays in the game. The Kings are without 3 players. Yes, he does make bone-head moves, but then so does JT, Udoka, Hawes, etc.

Yes, you are correct, Sergio isn't the reason why the Kings lost. At least that is something we can agree.

There's been way too much bashing of various players, IMHO. I'd like to see it all stop.

Obviously, you watched a different game then I did. His airballed 3? His bricked layup with a few minutes left, followed by a TO. Getting burned on defense by Shannon Brown. Who were you watching?

Yeah, thats as clear as you can get on a moving screen by Kobe. Foot looked out of bounds as well.

But this is Stern's NBA. "Ain't **** gonna happen."

Very good points. The shut out of JT bothered me more than many other things. As for Hawes, I cannot get excited about a 7 foot center who is a long range jump shooter. Bargnani had way more games like that than Spencer and I still think it is not getting you anywhere in the long run.The shots were falling tonight and were almost enough against the world champs(actually they beat the world champs if it wasn't for the missed ft) but if they don't fall you have nothing to work with cause you have no inside play.Having said that,If he goes tomorrow toe to toe with Nowitzki I will be impressed.

This Kings team peaked too early in the game. They played an almost perfect half then seemed to come out a bit tentative in the 3rd quarter with a 'Hold-On' mentality rather than the killer instinct you need.

I'll be honest that I felt sick to my stomach after that last play.

We can cast blame all around for this particular loss. It's easy to blame Udoka for missing the two free-throws, but he wasn't the only one to miss tonight.

But do you know what I like?

This team KNOWS it can come out and beat any team in the League. And this team has only been together for about 30 games. Think what it will be like 2,3,4 years down the line when they've really matured and learned how to handle big leads and tough situations.

Don't you think that a loss like this will just fire this team up even more? I'm certain it will.

I wanted this win so badly, but I'm certain that the players and coaches wanted it far more than I.

I will say one thing. If we had an interior defender we'd have won this game. That is clear as day.

So I'm expecting to see a move being made to pick one up, because it's clear we can compete with any team, and can probably win more times than not if we get someone to anchor the middle on the defensive end against players like Gasol, Bynum, Nene, ect.

And as much as I hate it, if Kobe misses that shot we win the game. Regardless of him pushing off or potentially being out of bounds, he hit the shot.
I'll go into the Office on Monday and hear it from all the Laker fans down here in Orange County, but do you know what all of them will say?

They will tell me, "Wow, the Kings are looking really good." And they will be right.

Go Kings!

First it was JT. Then Hawes. Then Noc. Now Sergio. Its always going to be someone.

By the way, I'm not bashing Sergio, just pointing out why he gets picked on and the fact that its always going to be someone. Saying "he sucks" is bashing. Saying "bench him because he's taking bad shots" isn't bashing. Those are just examles btw.

according to some fans it seems like "kobe" should be replaced with

but the real story is......

just last month sergio was doing everything right and now almost everyone seemed to have turned on him. i dont think he was playing as horrible as beno was last year and its not like every other player on this team doesnt make mistakes here and there.

Yeah, because the LA feed is reviewing it to see if Cryant was in bounds or not...?

They don't care. They're too busy stuffing their plastic faces with free tacos.

It is not sure at all. You don't have his shoe on the line. Non of the cameras caught that. It sure looks like is not "here is the line crossing his shoe". Ayen was pointing to the line as Kobe was in mid air and relaxed as he landed WHILE STILL LOOKING AT HIS FEET.. You have a better angle than the one he had?

That turnover was him firing the ball out of bounds over Hawes in the 4th..
That is unacceptable for a point guard.

Don't get me started on his missed layups. Dude needs to learn how to draw a foul.

i blame udoka and thompson for missing freethrows...... they were the only ones to do so. if they had just taken care of 2 freethrows a piece we wouldve won regardless of kobe...

I'm looking at the footage not at what the announcers say.Like I said, Ayen was right on Kobe's shoes and the line and removed his pointing arm right after he landed. To me that means there was no out off bounds argument to be made for Sac.

Fascinating; the weight of a blown twenty-point lead can be laid at the feet of four missed free throws? That's some interesting math, I'd say...

Ok.
So whats the defense for the bail out call for Shannon Brown with 40 seconds left on the clock?
