[Game] Kings @ Knicks - 3/20/16 - 4:30 PT, 7:30 ET

I'm rooting for a win but won't be extremely frustrated with a loss (if we play well) like I was when we had a realistic shot at the Playoffs.

I gotta root for Kyle O'Quinn. Keep reppin' the HBCU's, kid.

Side note, there may not be anyone who looks less like what I'd expect a Kyle O'Quinn to look like than Kyle O'Quinn.

You know if you're having trouble getting to the hoop maybe taking one of our three guards out and putting in a full grown player wouldn't be a bad idea

well...somebody had to win this game and it wasn't going to be the Knicks, especially without Melo. Wise move to sit Melo out for this one. The tank movement believes in the Mecca. Both teams look disinterested in playing, Cousins is just trolling out there and he has a 20/20 game laugh out loud.

I don't want to poop on anyone's defense parade, but the Knicks missed a ton of wide open shots tonight. We did play some decent to good defense at times in the game, but mostly the low score had to do with the Knicks just being terrible tonight. A win is a win and I'll take it, but I'm not going to delude myself into thinking we suddenly figured out how to play defense.

It's interesting how people like Cousins so called "composure" in these games. Yes there is clearly a difference in the way he plays. He most of the time just looks to move the ball, isn't really all that aggressive, doesn't try to punish his defender or to dominate the game. So this is the way some of us want Cousins to play? For me it's kinda disturbing to see him this way, because he looks defeated and disengaged.
The hostility and the anger, that enables Cousins to dominate games like no other big man right now, is gone. Of course there are downsides with his usual demeanor, but I'll take that over this composed Demarcus almost every time.
I fear he finally has given up on this franchise.

...I fear he finally has given up on this franchise.

This is what REALLY drives me nuts. Cousins just can't win. If he plays with too much emotion, he's a loose cannon. If he plays a more controlled game he's given up.

:D
Well this is what happens to every public person. People will try to judge you based on what they see.
But notice, that I didn't write "he has given up" but only " i fear he has given up", because I'm very well aware, that I don't know anything about the human being Demarcus Cousins.
Nothing new , that this board is divided, when it comes to Cousins behaviour on the court. Just happens, that I'm one of the guys, who likes a little bit of hostility and lots of emotions in the game of basketball.
To me this is what makes Cousins special. He is not out there looking to make friends. He is much closer to a guy like Draymond Green or Matt Barnes :)eek: on the court ofc), than he is to guys like Curry who laugh and smile all the time.
And I like that. I think a team needs that. And combined with his great talent and physical gifts, it's just makes a really special player.
