Buddy on one corner, Dedmon on the other, which Bogdon closer to the play in case you want to swing it or reset the pick and roll through him. Yet the very next play it's jumbled spacing and fumbled passes by Dedmon. Walton is cracking here guys.

I think I get what happened.

They implemented their blistering offense and it blindsided teams. Eventually they started gameplanning and the novelty wore off. Makes sense, running teams never do anything meaningful but they don't have a half-court offense and never bothered developing one.

Walton's offenses have always stunk so it's not like it's going to happen now either.

This could be the first year in a long time where I just end up giggling at some of the angst. I know you guys all too well. A few of you may fade away but we really aren't as bad as we're looking right now. Are we good? Um, no... but I really think we'll improve markedly when Giles and Bagley are out there for the simple reason they're part of the group that has already jelled.

In the meantime? At least we aren't dealing with our hotshot franchise player dealing with a 25-game suspension.

The whole squad is losing it. They're clinching their buttcheeks with both hands and are starting to doubt the little bit they've figured out. Players are too scared to move because they aren't sure where to move on offense, and on the other end they are just as confused. Like that last 3 by the Jazz. You have two players hovering around the ball handler but nothing close to a trap? If you are going to play 2 on 1 defense you better freaking be trapping that ball.

As VF said, they are better than this, but no doubt being too calm and cool about this will be perceived as lackadaisical at some point and that's when directions change in front offices. Especially after you just busted your bosses wallet. Not time to panic but time to start realizing your position in the world for sure.

Imagine a team being worse than this to start the year and that's probably how a team under Joerger this year would look. Face facts, dude burned his own bridges. Most coaches do but it will forever be considered his MO now when you look at his resume considering it happened more than once. Now, it's probably better to imagine had Karl never been fired. This is a PERFECT team for his system.
