[Game] Kings @ Jazz - Saturday, Oct. 26 - 6 PT

Worst signing in history? Remember John Salmons? George Hill?
George Hill was easily traded. Salmons hurt because it indicates what level your team is at, but it wasn't an awful value. Dedmon is the worst value contract FA that I can recall. We're going to have to attach Bogi to get rid of this guy.

George Hill. Dedmon is trying out there, he is just being set up to fail. He should be in the corner every offensive set.
My "like" is for your first comment. As for the second? Dedmon isn't being set up to fail. He's failing to step up. He's been in this league long enough to know what's what.

Would Love to see Joerger being his stubborn and prickly self being interviewed after this game, but we are going to get snowflakes
Do what I do. Mute the sound and make up your own Walton commentary. For added fun, use his dad's voice. ;)

I can accept Grant's dismay but to see Doug so disgusted and embarrassed is heart-breaking. They're truly gobsmacked over these first three games. It's gonna be a long flight home. I don't know how often Doug, Vlade, Peja and Bobby talk, but I can imagine them getting together to try and figure out WTF is going on. NOTHING FEELS RIGHT.

“Idk what that was. That’s not who we are. That was an embarrassing performance, coaches included. Fans deserve better.”

“We’ll fix it.”

Lost track after that

Not sure what to make of this, but every game the last 3-4 minutes of the 2nd quarter going into the half, the Kings have been manhandled. Up by 11 in Phoenix with about 3 minutes to go, end up going in the half by 5. Up on the Trail Blazers by about 7, go into the half tied. Down by 10 to the Jazz, who go on a 10-0 run to end the half and go in the locker room up by 20.

This is a fundamentally unsound team. They have no idea where each other is on the court and they aren't running. Some of this has got to stabilize, right? The other head scratcher is last year, this team was a team that would go on a run or give up big runs. They have now lost the first part of that equation, but have maintained the second part, unfortunately.

You're changing the goal posts but it's okay. I understand your frustration. It's not like I'm gonna defend Dedmon over Salmon and Hill or vice versa. I'm truly mind-boggled at this point. Time for me to watch some lighter fare and put tonight behind me.

I still have faith, I just don't have much hope ... or is it the other way around? Like I said a couple of days ago, being a Kings fan is not for the faint of heart.

Okay, one final thought. Does anyone think Buddy's actions regarding his extension might have had a negative impact on the team? Just asking...
Eh, maybe if this team didn't look exactly like this in the India games. The flaws were there all preseason, the difference is teams are starting to exploit them and the team is shook up as a result. The good thing is we've actually seen them be better, so it's not just conceptual. This is where your coaches either pass or fail.

Not really. And if so, definitely not to the extent of whatever the hell is going on now.

The players all know it’s a business.
They're young and eager and all of a sudden one of them is making some pretty serious demands, even to the extent of saying he doesn't feel wanted. It might be a business, but it's the chemistry that makes the team. Look at THE TEAM. It was their ability to look upon themselves as the Band of Brothers that made them so special.

Yeah, you're probably right. It would just be so much easier if there was one simple thing we could point to and hopefully correct to put the team back on track...

Great chemistry/band of underdog brothers died when Shump was shipped out. Maybe Buddy made it worse, maybe he didn’t. Idk

I think we’re legitimately terrible and the fanbase got blinded by one half of a barley above .500 season.
But they shouldn’t be terrible. They were a playoff caliber team for 4/5 of last season. However, the offseason roster changes and new coaching staff isn’t working. At all. Or yet. If they ever will.

I’m not one to overreact to a single game. But this is 3 consecutive games now. To start the season. All have looked similar. IMO the Portland game only looked better because the Blazers didn’t explode until the 2nd half.

Last season this team couldn’t play consistently good defense, but they could score. Now they can’t do either. This team doesn’t remotely resemble the one from last season. And it ain’t because Bags is hurt. Last seasons team largely played hard for all 48 and didn’t turn the ball over excessively. Somewhere Dave Joerger is probably smiling. Things can obviously change, but it sure doesn’t look good thus far.

Excuses can be made for the long trip to India, which I never thought was a good idea. IDK what the deal is, but this team looks like they don’t care too much. And only 3 games in, I’m not finding myself caring much either.

Saddens me to say, but I was far more excited to watch the Sac State Hornets football game today than I was for the freaking KINGS game. Because I rightly suspected they’d lay another egg.

Sorry for the negativity, as I avoided this site after the first game. And only made a comment after the 2nd game. But new staff and new players or not, there’s no excuse for blowout performances in 3 games IMO.

And there are the reported comments from Bogie (even though some suggest they are inaccurate). I agree that something feels off.

1. Agree. It doesn't look as though they're committed to the game, to each other, or to us - the loyal and long-suffering yet faithful fans.

2. Did the Hornets win?

3. You've been here a long time. Your negativity is no worse than that of a lot of other fans who feel like they've been kicked in the gut. Even @Carmichael Dave is having a hard time.
