You know it's a good win when the only thing I have to complain about is Kayte.

Can't wait until she gets fired. She has about all the in depth analysis of Jerry Reynolds, which was never much, except with zero of the charisma, likeability and charm.
She just needs to condense the analysis and shut up more. When coming back from commercial after a challenge she's rambling on when play is starting. Shut up and tell us what happened with the challenge.

No problem with Kayte...not sure why you're irritated. I was irritated by Golden State broadcast team the other days though. They went on and on and on telling stories or talking about unrelated things for 2 or 3 minutes while exciting things is happening on the court..I was like wtf...are these guys even watching or follow the game anymore. It's horrible...telling stories or jokes about certain things that I don't give a damm lol.

Yeah that Golden State broadcast was bad. Preaseason/summer league have a lot of off the cuff dialog that is just par for the course for non important games but their whole "lol @ the Kings for caring" while the Warriors ran Curry/Klay out there all game and then simultaneously cheered like they won the finals after Curry's game winning shot was pretty irritating.

Even with all that, they still weren't as annoying as Kayte is ;)

Yeah - that was . . . unfortunate. Tons of draft knowledge, but also clearly did not play well with others.

I believe KingsFanSince85 was gently ribbing sactowndog.
I'm glad most weren't here to see his last few messages on this forum... calling him a complete lunatic would be putting it nicely

I don't think people realize how good we have it with our broadcasters until you start listening to the opposing team's broadcast. Most are incredibly boring and monotone

I like Kayte a lot, personally. I’ll take her players perspective and analysis over the Dude of the Week any day, and particularly like the games she’s paired with Mark Jones. I also like that we have Morgan coming up through the ranks and waiting in the wings.

I sure hope opponents continue to justify playing zone against this KINGS team.

Play it all season long.

Teams did have some success against the Kings last season though. We'll have to see if Brown figured out that zone once a team with quicker players and more athletic ability utilize it. If Keegan is aggressive that should go a long way to making it impossible to just try and clamp down Domas and Fox like that.

A nice 'take-care-of-business' game vs pesky Jazz, but the Kings will now need their full contingent of players up to task against Warriors and Lakers. Cant have mediocre games from both Fox and Monk or 0pts from Mitchell. I can'[t imagine it not being closse both games.

To each their own. I think Kayte is the strongest part of the broadcast most nights.
Agreed. I enjoy listening to her during games especially with Jones (not so much Draper - his schtick gets old quick to me). She's smart, she can explain what she's seeing, and she doesn't ramble on about unrelated stuff for half an hour like many others do. I'm always happy when she's doing the broadcast.

She has a nice, resonant voice, too, which makes it easier to listen to than some broadcasters. My favorite of all time, Ernie Harwell of the Detroit Tigers, had a great, clear, individual voice.

Teams did have some success against the Kings last season though.

When a team just flat out misses open shots, sure, there’s some success to be had. Regardless whether m2m or zone is played,

But basic logic should tell anyone that playing zone against a team that, on average, can shoot the ball well from deep and all over the floor, really, isn’t an ideal tactic.

The longer it’s played, the more the law of averages catches up.

It’s really more of a “change of pace” and surprise tactic.

But if teams really want to play a lot of it against this KINGS team — it should be warmly welcomed.
