I want to give everyone fair warning...unless some miracle occurs and a rather large branch snaps and falls from a Ponderosa Pine tree in my yard, I will not be able to do the PBP because... grrr... I won't be able to even see the game.

I have received a large amount of snow in a short period of time. It has clung to the tree branches like glue, and has caused said branches to droop MUCH lower than normal. In one instance, a fairly large branch has now drooped down so much that it is blocking the satellite signal to my DishNetwork dish. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper.

My first thought, of course, was to chop down the tree but that's simply not practical. I cannot remove the branch myself and I cannot call and have it removed for safety reasons, etc. as it is not touching a phone line, power line, etc. It's just hanging there covered with lots of snow, blocking my dish.

If the situation changes, I will - of course - be doing the PBP for this afternoon's game. Since it's still snowing up here, however, I'm not very optimistic.

Stupid snow. Stupid tree.

Man that stinks!!! It is HOT here. We are even starting to get the pool ready for swimming this week!!! (a bit optimist, but we try!)

I may not get to listen to the whole thing, but I am going to try. Work responsibilites are calling tonight!!

Stay warm!

Where are you again VF21??? Get a flame thrower and melt that darn snow. Come on 2 hrs till tip off. :D

The following takes place between 3:00 - 4:00 PM

-Mr. Buchanan we have Jack on line
Buchanan: Jack, we received intelligence that Russians have released unknown white substance up in the mountains. Our satellite reception is interrupted. We need you to go and check it out.

Jack Bauer: I'm leaving downtown LA right now. I can be there in 20 minutes.

Chloe: Jack I am downloading GPS coordinates to you Treo right now.

Audrey: Jack please be careful. There have been Big Foot sightings up there.

Jack: Thanks Audrey. Edgar, can you set up the call trace to all dial-up connections up there?

Edgar: Yes Jack, give me 30 seconds to run a daemon behind their firewall.

President Logan: Let's pray :(

Thats too bad, I'll miss your PBP! If anyone else would fill in for her, I'd be very grateful, but obviously I'm not expecting anyone to do that :o

GO KINGS!!!

Throw a rope over it and shake it really hard?

Hire a local teenage kid to climb up there and take care of it?

Tell the Maloofs that since they aren't mowing Webber's yard anymore, we've got other outside maintenance that needs to be performed?

Fire up the BBQ underneath it?

:) :) :)

Whoa...That's pretty powerful stuff.

At about 3:28 p.m. the snow on the branch in question shuddered a bit, and then fell to the ground. Shortly thereafter, the sun came out and is now shining brightly!

I have COMCAST!!!!!!!

I will never, ever, never doubt the power of Bauer again!

I WILL be doing the PBP!!!

GO KINGS!!!!!

I took some pictures earlier today. I'll load them at half-time so you can see how much snow I'm talking about.

That would be great! I've not seen snow in about 5 years!!

Bonzi will play tonight, although it's most likely going to be just a few minutes...

That's an awesome show isn't it!!! :D We need more Jack Bauer's in this world. Then people would be scared to pull crap.
That's awesome play by play on 24. President Logan is really an idiot who doesn't have a clue and should be nowhere near the President role, especially in a time of crisis.

Where the heck are you shacked up VF????

Starting lineup for the Hawks:

The lack of attendance in that arena is deplorable... You can hear individuals talking behind Grant and Jerry.

Official time out called because one of the clocks isn't working.

They showed a clip with Adelman. Says he likes what SAR brings and is glad he can have SAR coming off the bench bringing energy. Also said they may do the same with Bonzi, since the chemistry of the team right now with Martin starting is working well.

Finally back to the game...

Martin for two.

Zaza for two.

17-10 ATL

Good ball movement, ends up with KT down low for the two.

Ron misses the bonus. Hawks ball.

18-14 ATL

Artest strips the ball from a shell-shocked Williams, but it goes oob. Still Hawks ball.

Hawks turnover on bad pass because of Artest hustle; Kings ball.
