Question: When Reggie wants them to hold for the FINAL shot, why does Artest invariably leave enough time for the other team to get one final shot?

it is me and I haven't changed.

It is simple. 2 bad teams. One got embarrassed last night. The other is playing first home game after the long road trip in front of family and close friends. In my 10 years of following the NBA this is the textbook case in which when 2 bad teams play the winner is usually the team that is destined to lose it which is us.

Hrm. Okay...it might be you.

:p

25 more after this and it will get better when we get home

also we are playing Hawks meaning this game isn't over. They can choke quicker then Kings coached by Muss

You just may know what you are talking about after all.;)

Well, you certainly don't wait until there's one second on the clock to get into your offense. 8 seconds is the norm and that's what happened in this case. The kick in was to Artest with about 6 seconds and he looked for the double team and to possibly kick back back out for a shooter. No double so he made his move and scored with about 5 seconds. A bit early but in the flow of a hoped for final possession. Johnson then makes a 42 foot 3 with less than one second - that's the breaks!
