Of course it's not a rule but it's a widely used strategy for a reason.

And when your coach has SPECIFICALLY said that he's going to change that philosophy on occasion, as Mr. Slim pointed out above, then you might see a player remain on the court with two early fouls. So far, it seemed to work just fine.

In other news, I liked the comment Grant made about Reggie Evans talking to DMC, who was rebuffed when he went over to talk to an official.

And now, RU-DY!!!!

Which is totally fine. I do prefer the traditional approach to the situation tho.

When you have a player as dominant as Demarcus Cousins, you have to get him used to playing with fouls. If you don't, he's gonna be spending way too much time cooling his heels.

I'm only being stubborn about this, BTW, because Malone was asked about it the other night after the game and made a point of saying it's something they have to work on to take it away from opponent's game plans.

Terrible 1st qtr play.

Really? What game are you watching? I'm seeing pretty good effort, team play, balanced offense, and the occasional moment or two of defense. Not sure how that could be rated as "terrible"...

And I'm fine conceding because like you said, it worked out great.

And... Poor jimmer. Gonna keep the bench nice n warm the rest of the season. Only garbage time and injuries bring an exception.

As I mention early too many easy baskets by the Nuggets and too many turnovers by us.

Well, the stars appear to be more engaged than last night, so we've got that going for us. There has been good "effort," but it hasn't translated to a ton of success yet.

Another career high for opposing player. 12 pts in 1st qtr for fournier
I been trying to tell anyone who will listen the dude is seriously talented since the first time I seen him play for the Nuggets.

damn that was terrible defense by Ben. get the hell on your man and stop cheating into the paint

Hrm. Looks like picking Randy Foye up off the wire in one of my fantasy leagues might not have been a bad move. :)

Ray looks fine. I would have thought he would appear helpless with the limited minutes he has gotten.
