[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

Swap the team name and number for the love of god.

Maybe go ahead and make all the purples match this time.

New number font, larger on the back.

Fix accents. Just basic side stripes instead of the weird different things on each arm hole. Maybe a checkered pattern down a side like my favorite throwback we’ve worn.

If you insist on keeping the weird arm hole accent design, drop the name under the (larger new font) number so it’s not jammed into that smaller space.
So basically change everything about the jersey?

I loved the shiny jerseys of their day. The black Heat and Sixers jerseys were fire. I actually bought a legit black Heat shiny jersey because I like them so much. The whole Sixers lineup was nice (Black, white, blue)

Shiny Baby blue Nuggets wasn’t the best.

And I may have been the only person on the planet that unironically liked the silver Mavs one they wore one time.
You're fancy.

I was curious to see what positive stat the kings are ranked highest in and it was offensive rebounds at 16th lol. Curious what it’s gonna look like these next 20+

lol Buddy went 1/13 from The 3 today. Even under Carlisle he’s still chucking to get his contract escalators smh
I was curious of the details so I looked it up. Thought it was interesting. Most glaring is the incentive for most made 3 pointers in the league. Right now Buddy is third in the league behind Curry and VanVleet. It should have been a set good 3 pt %, not 3 pt shots made. This is an example of how NOT to draw up a player contract.

Incentive #1:
Play at least 70 games AND shoot 85% from the free-throw line
Bonus:
$500,000

Incentive #2:
Average fewer than 2 turnovers per game
Bonus: $500,000

Incentive #3:
Lead the league in made 3-pointers
Bonus: $500,000

Incentive #4:
Post a defensive rating below 110.5
Bonus: $500,000

Be named All-Star: $500,000
Kings make playoffs: $500,000
Kings make second-round: $250,000
Kings make WCF: $500,000
Kings make NBA Finals: $1,000,000

The turnovers and defensive rating incentives are hilarious. It's like Buddy knows he's not going to hit those so he just bombs threes instead lol

that's just nuts. how they can do that without at least a minimum shot % is malpractice. It explains SOOOOOO much though.

So of the Kings make the playoffs does buddy get the bonus?

Well, Buddy is 55 behind S. Curry right now and the Pacers have 24 games to go. Which is to say that Buddy ain't catching Steph unless Curry gets injured - and soon. And even if that were to happen, he'd need to pass VanFleet, who's 10 ahead.

If Buddy's chucking were only or even mainly about getting that most-made incentive, we'd see his pace slow. But that ain't gonna happen unless his PT is reduced and/or Carlisle tells him to cut it out. Maybe he wants to climb the all-time list. Maybe he really does think every one's going in. Maybe the rest of his offensive game dried up when he added the muscle. Who knows.

Coaches always say of shooters: "Keep shooting!" But I'm pretty sure there's a caveat for Buddy. 1-13 from 3! Talk about wearing out your welcome in a hurry.

Honestly, I hope he gets it together. Like pretty much every other Kings fan I'm happy to see him go, won't miss his *contributions* for a second. But he got even more grief here than he deserved and I'd be happy to see him do well for himself.

I don't want him to fail but it seems like as long as he is on a bad team with his current set of contract incentives hoisting up threes to achieve the only attainable one is going to continue. I guess the question is whether or not Indy is tanking or they just saw an opportunity to move Sabonis and promote Turner and get a great young player in return. I am sure that when they originally put Sabonis on the market their target was bigger than Haliburton and bad contracts.

Someone explain Yao Ming and the Charlotte Hornets for Montana?

My best guess is zero NBA jerseys were sold in the state of Montana and they just wanted to mix it up
I guess that would explain the "Steve Smith" in Idaho, as to the best of my knowledge he has literally no connection to the state whatsoever. And the whole Hornets/Nets thing. I'm inclined to believe you - no jerseys sold in Idaho or Montana, period.
