[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

This is likely to get him some conditioning and practice - there aren't many minutes for him right now anyway, whether that's right or wrong is a different discussion.
Once we found out Carter was going to miss all the off-season and a good chunk of the season, he was always a play for next year and for the long-term future of the team. He's given us some real flashes on defense, but kind of as expected, he's all out of sorts on offense and has been pretty awful. Think him getting 30+ minutes in the G-League, just getting his timing back is really going to help.

Ouur G-League Team has been very good at prepping potential rotational pieces for their NBA roles - like having Isaac Jones work on his perimeter play. The Stockton Kings can put Devin Carter in the primary ball handler role - so he’s prepared for more responsibilities when he next plays NBA minutes.

Also - our current roster situation is bonkers. We need to get the rotations established for our starters, Keon, JV and LaRavia before we will know where Devin could contribute on offense.

The only real thing he needs now is the ability to find a shot he can go to around the basket or off the curl. Coming out of college he had almost no midrange and I get that the "modern game" loathes mid range, but he's got the beginnings of a really decent floater. The long shot should come, but around the basket is where he needs to kind of work on a consistent finisher. He's got all the tools, now he needs refinement. Passing wise he's still per 36 the 3rd best APG player on the team that qualifies and despite some shaky looking handles it hasn't really led to turnovers.
