Sweet lord if Jason can start next season i will celebrate like no other. His nose for the ball and relentless style of play really gets me excited. The guy just doesnt give up on a play.

I love our kids.

Takes away from the pain of having to watch Salmons and Mikki every night.

Keep it up young guns.

Once Salmons is gone then we can officially say that our offense runs smoothly. He has no sense of clock management at all.

Great all around game. Who the heck was wearing Beno's jersey tonight? Like someone else said, if he could even play half as good as this we will be okay. Jason Thompson, what a great pick! BTW, anyone else see Oden do basically nothing again? :)

Jason running in and grabbing every rebound in the final few minutes was great. I just wish he didn't have to play SF :(

"And 1".

I don't know. He actually might be our best SF as surprising as that is. With three 7 footers out there we are ruling the boards for the first time in an eternity.

While I will agree with some of you that Salmons is at times forces the action, turns the ball over too much, and can be a black hole on offense. I do also think that he is good at a lot of things such as one on one defense, team defense, driving to the hoop (most of the time), and the fact that he gets to the free throw line, rebounding for a sf, etc. There are a lot of good things he gives this team but just like every other player out there will make you bang your head against the wall at times.

Mikki Moore on the other hand we could do without. I like him and all... He seems like a great teamate, I just don't think he provides much on the court. If we get a chance to trade him we need to do it.

By the way, I agree, Thompson is a beast.

Nice put-back dunk from Spencer. Thanks for that clip...I missed the game. Did Quincy get a chance to play some good minutes? How did Donte do (I heard he got some playing time)?

Douby was dressed but did not play. Donte played like a rookie 19-year-old but worse than most. He came into the game and immediately drew a delay of game warning (or was it a tech?) for having his shirt hanging out. He jacked up a couple shots in his around eight minutes total playing time with most notable 2 turnovers in that short stink - I mean stint. This kid looks like he MIGHT be an NBA player in a couple of years. Of course, if the Kings roster was not so thin he would never have gotten off the end of the bench. He should be in the D-league right now where he could play a LOT more and hopefully LEARN the pro game.

that put back by hawes way great, especially because he was active all over the court in the first quarter, good floor presence, helping on D and even got a couple good looking blocks (4 total!) now if only he would stop disappearing after the first, we could have a regular 3 headed monster with brad, jt and hawes (assuming brad plays like brad tonight and not brad yesterday vs detroit)

add to that udrih looking like a real point guard and i am getting very excited about the kings this year. here's to road win #1!

Donte wasn't that bad. He only had around 5 minutes of PT and hit both of his shots. He shouldn't be handling the ball much anyway right now and the TOs are rookie mistakes. That's not really being fair to him IMO.

Thanks for the answer.

I wonder why Quincy didn't play? Especially since coach said that he was probably going to get some minutes.

I don't know why Q never got into the last game - it seems like almost a month since he's played. Maybe the fact that BJax and Brown were and have been relatively effective as main reason. Otherwise, I assume it's also based on the Coach Theus oft stated philosophy. Show effort in practice, play hard, produce - you get get minutes. Do the opposite - you sit.

I wonder if he is not fully healed and just suited up because of all our injuries "just in case"....

I heard that Quincy was better several days ago but coach decided to sit him out (during the detriot game) and make sure he was all healed up. He did say that Douby would see the floor during the Clippers game.

Douby rejoins team – Quincy Douby rejoined the Kings during the team's morning shootaround, but it wasn't early enough to make Theus comfortable playing the guard.

Tuesday marked the first time Douby was available to play after missing the last two games with a sore right ankle.

"He's just getting back, so I went with the guys who I thought had rhythm," Theus said. "He may play big minutes tomorrow."

Douby said he was planning on returning to the team before Martin's injury opened up minutes at shooting guard.

"I told (the team) before Kevin got injured, but they wanted me to rest a few more days," Douby said. "The plan was to see how it felt."

Douby said he had a simplistic way of approaching future games.

"I will just go out there and play hard," Douby said.
