[Game] Kings @ Celtics - 2/7/16 - 10 PT, 1 ET

31 points is a lot of points. I just wish it didn't take him 25 shots to get 31 points.

smh

I cannot believe the things people find to use to criticize DMC. AT LEAST HE SCORED THEM! It's not like he's out there like Kobe Bryant every day.

You know what? I'm sorry. I'm outta here. Sometimes it's not even worth sticking around to talk about my favorite team.

Your hyperbole is getting old. Everybody shares blame in this game, including Cousins for allowing Sullinger to go off.

SLAB is just as entitled to his comments as everyone else. At least he responded with sarcasm and not profanity, which has also occurred around here lately. If you don't want to read what SLAB has to say, you have the ability to use the IGNORE feature.

Yes, I know, but I addressed both his point and how he delivered it. Those are two different things.

Can anyone explain why Seth only got 3 mins? He put in some work looking at the box score

He played great today. It was really strange that he didn't get any minutes in the second half after the instant energy he brought to the team in the second quarter, but Collison was making shots and we were hanging around threatening to make a game out of it in the fourth when George Karl typically leans on his favorite vets the most. Maybe changes are coming?

Same exact score as the Brooklyn game, btw

I haven't always loved Bobby Jackson as the studio analyst but his comments after today's game have been spot on IMO.

I am not without concerns in this regard, either, but I think the whole situation is continually exacerbated by what he has dealt with. To DMC, loyalty is paramount. Karl did nothing to promote any kind of positive relationship with him at the beginning, and things have only gotten worse as time goes by.

If you are referring to Karl making quote "no player is untouchable" he apologized to Boogie and admitted his mistake. Boogie is not justified to continue to hold a grudge. It would be so petty, but not unlike Cousins who has froze out Ailene Voison for the last 6 months over a tweet he didn't like.

When Boogie says "I am not going to blame the other guys in this locker room...we have bigger issues" how is this a more credible than Rondo saying "coaching is not the problem"?? A 2-time NBA champion is more credible in my mind than a guy who has never won 30 games.

I am not saying Karl is the right coach because he is not. But I have seen this act from Boogie before and you have too. Things go south and he points fingers implicitly or explicitly, at the refs, at the coach, at the system and anyone but himself.

His terrible play in first quarter set the tone for game and we had to play catch up for 48 minutes but he won't mention this post-game because that requires self-accountability he is incapable of.

I missed it (turned it off early this time...) what did he say?

That a number of the Kings' defensive issues stem from a lack of fundamentals (guarding transition threes etc) and that leads to teams stepping on the floor against the Kings knowing they'll get easy outside looks, knowing they'll get mismatches and easy shots at the rim.

But the biggest point for me was that he doesn't ever see anyone getting mad about giving up a ton of first quarter points. That he sees them just sort of shrug it off as normal instead of getting upset and giving defensive effort.

And to me that's exactly right.

I'm just sick of fingers being pointed at the guy who should be the least of Kings fans worries. There are so many problems with this team right now that its puzzling to me why this guy is where a lot of the blame is being put.

Because any franchise player, and all-star player, and top 10 player will get the majority of the credit when a team does well, and get plenty of blame when a team under-performs. If you honestly expect him to not face any criticism, then you are watching the wrong sport.

It is a legitimate concern. It isn't the reason for the loss but Cuz has many games where he takes so many shots and isn't very effecient. When he is efficient, the Kings are good. When he isn't, they arent.
I probably didn't need to bring this up in this thread considering what has been going on. Forgive me for my bad timing.
