is this a zone defense or something? what exactly is the scheme here? because it always looks like a zone leaving someone open. Either way, they're clearly actively looking to
get the guy fired. enough already

Life is too short to get up "early" on Sunday morning to watch this. Apparently the whole concept of defense has gone away.

I know the scheme probably sucks from Karl, but these guys are NBA players... They should know to cover the three point line, ESPECIALLY after the last few games right?!

I don't know who to blame anymore... :(

Cousins is playing some lazy ass defense. Doesn't contest a 15ft jumper by Sullinger... next play, misses a layup and complains about it to a ref. Sullinger is already at the other side of the floor wide open under the rim. This forces Rondo to pick him up.. he has to leave Avery open wide open for 3...

I don't think that had anything to do with scheme.

In a zone defense you defend an area instead of a man. I think where Sullinger was standing would be in a zone.

Does anyone else think George Karl is sitting there on the sideline thinking "I wish I were coaching that team?"
That Boston roster is a lot like the teams he coached in Denver.

Jesus Christ Grant. May as well call DMC Satan Incarnated and that he sacrifices puppies and kittens on his spare time

Officials:

Tony Brothers
Mitchell Ervin
Kane Fitzgerald

Maybe we should start a pool on which one will be the guy to toss DMC out of the game.

Since it is not man to man you have to assume we would be playing zone but there is no evidence that any of the perimeter guys have a zone they are defending... that being said we are once again giving up uncontested 3s for another 30+ first quarter for opponents... SMH

If Grant would point out that Boogie is getting fouled in the lane on every shot and with as much passion as when he belittles him, then I would respect Grant....but he doesn't.
Nope.

I'm as frustrated with Boogie as anyone else, but damn...he's being used as a punching bag. I know we all want him to shut up, suck it up and play but we should also at least hope for a little bit of consistent equitable officiating by the refs.
