[Game] Kings @ Cavs, 2/11/14

I hope eventually we get to the point where Gay or Cousins has the ball in their hands when the quarter is coming to a close.

Big Z is getting his jersey retired? What's wrong, Boobie Gibson wasn't available?
This is good for the lulz, and everything, until you recognize that Ilgauskas is the Cavaliers' all-time franchise leader in three categories, and Top 5 in, like, six others.

Dear Mr. Thomas:

I understand you have encountered a problem in that your big man is attempting to post up, but his defender is fronting the post. I understand how this is perplexing as you have to at least appear to want to get him the ball, but there is no chance you will get an assist.

Step 1: Pass the ball to your teammate at the top of the key.
Step 2: Cousins seals his man outside the paint.
Step 3: Cousins receives a pass from the top of the key and scores.

But, I hear you say, that will not result in an assist for me and everyone complains that I don't distribute the ball enough.

Allow me to reassure you that . . . PASS THE DAMN BALL!

IT has missed 4 fts in a row. I am beginning to think this tank idea is real. I didn't say I supported it but these guys aren't playing like they would normally.

No, but what should he have done with 6 seconds on the clock?

I agree that he should have taken it there with that much time left on the clock. It just reminded me that he (more often than not) takes the last shot of the quarter. What kind of message does that send to Gay and Cousins? If I was Gay and I was on the court with an inferior player (such as Thomas) and he opted to always take the last shot, that would definitely get under my skin quickly.

Might explain why our most dominant player on offense isn't even getting the ball anymore

I don't know. Maybe once a week he could drive and kick out to a shooter? Oh yeah, we don't have any shooters!!

With what, 2 seconds? I understand your complaint. I support your complaint. I cannot tolerate IT but in this particular situation I think he should have taken the shot. He shot from about 30 ft and I doubt if a draw and kick would have worked from out there.

That said, he had like two seconds on the clock still. Could have taken a few more steps closer to the hoop

IT was not looking up because there were two Kings on each wing with closer shots - ahead of him. He could care less.

I didn't notice but I have given up on paying attention to this game. It's sick and making me sick. I can't control them but I can control me .... usually. :)

How about passing the ball ahead instead of dribbling? Takes more time to dribble IMO.

Never defend IT ....never defend IT ....never defend IT ....never defend IT ....

The anger is palpable.

What the hell was IT doing on that defensive sequence. He was literally five feet from the closest Cav.
