And having to now begin to consider the possibility we have another fragile star, but this one without a team behind him that can carry on on its own.

I think the question needs to be asked - how much is our style of play pushing the tempo and driving from the outside physically impacting on Demarcus ?

These niggle type injuries havent really been a historic concern with him to date but now they seem to be a factor

Good question. I've thought about that. His Achilles issue and now lower back/hip issue are soft tissue issues, generally a product of training/environment. Is there anyone Cuz's size/body type in the NBA who plays at a top 2 pace and also has to constantly attack from 25 ft out? Nope. I'd guess all that juking off the dribble trying to beat guards/forwards from the perimeter is related to his back injury. And while he gets hammered down low anyway, it's a different strain on the body when you have your foundation under you, going up off two feet rather than slashing at near full speed from the 3pt line and contorting around defenders.

There's an obvious concern about our style of play and Cuz's body breaking down. It's only Nov and it already appears to be happening.

agree, my thought process also.

concerning indeed.

Don't we still play 82 games? ;)

We've played 82 games for the past 10 years, with almost none of them past Christmas being anything but a waste of time. Much as I love a good will he be fired/will he leave in FA/will his agent demand a trade deathwatch, I'd just assume not this time thx.

If it's not this pace...I don't really see what else it can really be. He hasn't been this injury prone before.

Cousins has always found himself on the floor for whatever reasons...but with Karl at the helm, the impact he hits the floor is causing this man sores and aches and he can only take so much. It doesn't help his cause that he does not weight train to strengthen his muscles but I digress.

I have a good feeling about this game for some reason... Assuming no Cousins, Karl HAS to play WCS... Just got a good feeling that he'll make a big difference

Assuming that is Karl doesn't play smallball for 3 quarters....

What makes you believe he won't otherwise? if Trill doesn't get at least 25+ minutes tonight then he won't at all.

I wouldn't be so sure

It's probable but Willie has been overlooked many times this season already

Meanwhile, watching Knicks against the Magic while waiting for Kings. Robin Lopez and Porzingas keep blocking shots in the paint. 5 combined blocked shots in first 8 minutes. We should try that.

Will Acy get any burn you guys think? I'd think he could defend Monroe well

No chance. We would rather pack the paint and see if we can get our opponents to set the record for 3pt attempts/makes.

Anybody remember if we have played a WCS smallball lineup this season yet?

no no. :)

Monroe is like on the block. He's huge and skilled, and would have Acy by 30lbs. He's the guy we absoutely need our bigs, and more realistically, Koufos, to defend.
Just a thought

I remember back to the Brooklyn game where Acy shutdown Lopez who is currently a top 5 post scorer (by the stats i recall)

Monroe might be a bit too bullcrap and bulk for Acy, but who knows

I don't have good feeling about this one at all. Without Big Cuz not totally hopeless but almost. Suppose The Greek Freak vs. Cauley-Stein is intriguing matchup worth seeing. But considering Kings horrible D who deals with - Monroe, Parker, all the other young Bucks.

Just letting them play straight up you might hold the line with Koufos/Monroe, then WCS/Freak, Gay/Parker, Rondo/MCW...but its a team game and at this point I have absolutely no idea who I even expect to step up when Cuz goes down. All our confidence and moxie just goes out the window.
