Hall of Famer
There are nights like this where things are really hard but show must go on. one thing is certain. I am so looking forward to the Soccer Worldcup this summer. 64 games in 30 days and no big orange ball that doesn't want to go in the basket.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On March 29th 2003 kings won @ Bulls 107 - 92 to improve to 52-21 for the season. Pedja lead the Kings with 27/7/2, Webber has 21/10/2, Bibby had 16/2/4/4st, Vlade had 7/7/5, and DC had 10/4/5. Pollard had 11/13 of the bench.

Peja Stojakovic scored 19 of his 27 points in the third quarteras the Kings shook off a slow start to rout the Bulls, 107-92,

"I thought after the first quarter we picked it up defensively,"Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "We were active and moved the ball. Our second unit got out there and got us energized.

"The guys tracking Peja were up on him and not aware of his backcuts,"
Kings forward Chris Webber said. "He got about 12 easy points on backcutting hard. It was a focal point for our team. He's got a beautiful stroke. I'm gald to be on this team and see it every night."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings @ 35-36 started a new streak @ ARCO (hey a losing streak is a streak too) and in general. We lost 2 in a row again and we are also 1-4 in the last 5 games losing to crapy teams but then again - it takes one to lose to one. Still 8th with 1.5 games ahead of Jazz. That advantake is melting juat like an ice cube in a glas of Your favorite beverage with at least 40% alcohol. Looking at the schedule is scary considering that Kings are perfectly capable of losing to anyone , anywhere under any circumstances.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a late dinner - I decided to go on a hunger strike as a sign of protest against the recent Kings performances. I will be on the streike till the brekfast tomorrow morning. My point - why should I care more than the players in that uniform ? How crazy an I - sitting and watching this garbage till 2 am in the morning night after night after night. Teams that have no chance making the POs are playing harder than we are. Not only that the team doesn't exist but also the players can't behave themselves either.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just buy looking at the Kings roster - You can see that there is a lot of talent but You can also see that it is some kind of "rejects" collection. Scary, because it is a bomb with a timer that is on when things are not doing well. We need 5 balls on the court to keep everyone satisfied. Even with 5 balls - we would turn it over 6 times per possesion. We actualy had more TOs than assists. Vlade, Chris and Doug must be rolling in their graves. Kings have no players left that can play and be effective without the ball on a high level. Just a bunch of volume shooters with the chronical lack of volume. Can we compate this team with the 2002 team again please ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leadership is a key to success. talent is important but when things aren't going good - You need someone, anyone to stop it somehow. We don't have it. We have "co-captains" that would get the ship to sink in the desert. RA - trusts his players - he always did. Unfortunately, neither one of them is called Vlade or chris or Doug. hell, I would settle for Bobby.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, we did not like the Princtone offense anymore. We got rid of it because it was only winning us 50 games a year. Laughable 50 games. Who needs that. Now we have new offense and so far I have seen these sets.:

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Ron and he misses the three

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Ron and he goes inside and misses a layup

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Ron and he commits an offensive foul

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Ron and he turns it over

Bibby brings the ball up court doesn't give it to anyone and jacks up a bad shot and hits it sometimes

Bibby brings the ball up court and turns it over for no reason

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to KT who goes inside and misses a layup

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to KT who goes bricks a ugly jumper

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to KT who goes inside and turns it over

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Bonzi who goes inside and misses a layup, gets the rebound and misses a layup again

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Bonzi who goes inside and turns it over than gets a steal and misses a layup.

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Brad who turns it over for no good reason

Bibby brings the ball up court gives it to Brad who gets rid of it to a player "X" who then either misses a layup ot turns it over.

and so on and so on

But hey - who needs "princtone" anyways. We have players that can create their own shots. Yay !!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings sure are missing Kevin Martin as someone who takes and makes a good shot. We need him back badly. However, expecting him to "save' us would be very unfair. He is a young player on a veteran team and he needs a good leadership to develop further. He doesn't have any. He could use Vlade or Chris to become really great. The veterans need to stop being selfish and start steping up. kevin will be fine then.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TDM award went to Bily Thomas in his 5th game of the season. He tied or improved carer high in points, FGA, FTM and steals. His line was 14pts/1rb/1assist/3 steals 50% shooting. Only kings player who scored more was Bibby. Welcome to the club Billy. too bad the membership has gotten cheeper as of late.
LW-VC award went to the defending winner ron Artest who once again put a amazing preformance.4-18 from the field and 3 turnovers. He just sucked. KT had a chance to win it with an ejection but it was too much Ron down the strech.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we droped 2 at home to teams that should never beat us in this situation. Wizards didn't need Arenas, jeffries and Haywood to do it. Who needs them when You have Bily Thomas. They haven't beaten us that bad since we got killed by Kwarme and Popeye Jones. Usually, I wouls consider it good that we have back to back game just to forgrt this one but things might get worse.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blazers suck and that is appearently bad news for the Kings. Another team that has nothing to lose but would like to show the talent. Just great. Who knows what will happen tonight. We might play well but also might just suck again. I just hope that noone gets ejected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - just like good old Grizzlies times. Good numbers and "LLWLL"
Ron - 18-70 in the last 4 games (25.7%). We need better pills.
Brad - Joel is there to provider another abuse. have fun
SAR - not bad but as usual - he doesn't matter
Bonzi - at least he did not get ejected
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - get well soon kid
Cisco - You are making them look bad kid
KT - moron-
rest - mateen
------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - do somthing - anything - please !
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Blazers are just the trouble that we need. Randolph will be handfull. Joel will be Joel. Skinner will be extra motivated. TDM favorite is jack and LW-VC candidate might again come from the Kings

piksi, thanks for giving me something to laugh about tonight.. I needed it. Loved your take on the new offense, I just don't see what everyone is complaining about, we are running it to perfection based on that game plan.;)

I'm trying really hard to think of something positive to say, let's see ::thinks hard:: Sorry I have nothing.:(
GO KINGS!
thanks for the laugh piksi. That's about the only thing we can count on these days.

lol, the way you described the kings new offense is brilliant. I got a game buddy that i talk to on AIM and bit** about everything to her, and vise versa. When she cant watch games, i text her whats going on (and vice versa). LOL...I pulled out my phone, and at least half of those things you said about our offense i have texted to her before during a game.

ex from a few games back (verbatim): "Wow, bonzi turned it over, then stole it, then missed a layup, then kt got the OReb, then missed a layup, then it got pushed out to miller who passed it to bibby with 3 left on the shotclock, and he missed a 3"

Portland...really scares me...

Road + Playoff Race Pressure + Individual Slumps + Losing Streak + Portland + Pryzbilla + Opposition Has Nothing To Lose + B2B = ....WHO KNOWS

Wiltbilla will scorch Miller, based on Miller's recent outings...Something along the lines of 16 pts, 16 rebs, 7 blks.

LW-VC goes to...hopefully someone wearing black and red...

This may be old news to some of you, but I just heard it on the radio about 15 minutes ago ... Artest GUARANTEES a win tonite in Portland - dang - and I went with Portland over in the Prediction Thread

Game started but noone cares

LOL

I was wondering why there were no posts of how good or bad we started the game.

can't watch it, so i'm going strictly by stats.

Portland fans showing love for Bonzi...booing him every time he touches the ball. I can hear the Kings fans in the crowd. Sounds like quite a few.
