In response to a high demand for partnership opportunities tailored towards the region’s small and mid-sized enterprises, the Kings Business Advantage Program (KBA) was launched in 2011, providing unique marketing and partnership benefits to local business owners. On a personal level I am glad to see Teichert renewing - I might get to sneak into their box every once in a while. Family member works there.

I wonder how the dollar values stack up. They might have more sponsors, but if they are largely short term contracts and for low $$$ amounts....

But they've lost their biggest sponsor:

It’s a money meltdown for the Sacramento Kings as their biggest sponsor is splitting, and they’re not the only ones.
One of the Kings’ most loyal corporate sponsors is taking a bite out of the owners’ already rickety revenue structure.
Carl’s Jr. once touted them as billionaire brothers in an ad campaign, but now the fast food company tells CBS13 that its cravings for the Maloofs are over.
“Carl’s Jr. is not seeking naming rights for the arena in Sacramento. While we have sponsored the Kings in the past, we will not be renewing our team sponsorship this season,” a company statement read.

Great! I just finished my cup of crow and a piece of humble pie....after having chimed in on thread of sponsors bailing out. Good start Maloofs.

If were going to crap on them when they do something wrong, we have to give them credit when they do something right. Landing Nokia and Walmart is huge. So props to them for getting the job done.

Yeah, but....at what level are they sponsors? Are the $$$ coming in now more than before? or do they have more sponsors giving much less $$$. I haven't seen any info on this anywhere.

Good questions, to which I don't have the answer. I guess we'll find out in time. The big question is what is the name of the arena? Maloof Thunderdome?

Oh, come on! Can't we just get beyond Thunderdome?

Seems like we should be crediting the staff and players...I won't parse the statement any further.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear of a Walmart Arena. (I might even hypothesize the notion that conditional naming rights for any new arena the Kings might happen to get could be included in the deal...) All supposition by me, btw. No insider knowledge on this one.

Considering there's already Target Center in Minneapolis maybe it's not out of the question. Of course, that giant retailer has it's corporate headquarters located there. Maloofs could always shoot for Blue Diamond Almonds Arena...

That would be sweet, because the in-laws would end up with box seats!

Just as I thought....saw this in the Bee today and it reminded me of this thread.

While a number of major companies – including Jiffy Lube and Thunder Valley – have ended their partnerships because of the team's uncertain future, the number of sponsorships (at lower prices) has increased
